The tour begins with a visit to a port wine producer: Quinta da Roêda. There will be a personalized guided tour on the vineyards where the process of making the port wine will be explained. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a careful selection of Portuguese cheeses.
After tasting, we will embark 1 hour boat ride in a typical wooden boat (Rabelos). This soothing ride is the best time to contemplate the landscape and nature of the Douro Valley.
Lunch is served in a beautiful farm overlooking to the vineyards where there are several food options: fish, meat or vegetarian. Everything are included in the price.
The second winery is a small table wine producer, It will be an interesting opportunity to have more contact with the locals. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.

The trip is constructed really well with combination of tasting, boat trip and lunch. Sara was our guide and she is an excellent tour guide. Sara is very friendly and provided plenty of information about Porto’s different regions as we were driving through. It felt like a good local friend of us took us for a trip. Everyone at the wineries was knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch was super tasty!

Enjoyed this tour of Douro Valley! Picked up from hotel and visited two wineries and boat tour. Both wineries were small and family owned with a lot of explanation. The first one had an amazing view, the second was organic (and had honey and olive oil tasting) but not much of a view. The boat tour was enjoyable and had a lot of great explanation and some snacks and a cocktail! Lunch was in a beautiful setting of a patio and a great view. The food was better than expected. Although it was filled with other tour groups which felt a bit less authentic. Overall a great day and learned a lot about the region.

Sergio our guide for the day was fantastic! He was warm and friendly very informed. The tour was interesting and fun. The last stop had a combo of wines, honey and olive oil and the tour guide there was excellent as was our boat tour guide who was funny and informative. It was well worth it!!!

What an amazing day. Marcelo was a superb guide. We were picked up exactly on time from right outside our hotel and dropped back again at the end of the day. Marcelo was extremely knowledgeable and interacted with the whole group perfectly. Both vineyards were beautiful. Lunch was truly authentic and the boat ride with a cocktail and nibbles was sensational. This will be a day we never forget and would thoroughly recommend this trip and ask for Marcelo!

This small group tour of the Douro River Valley was wonderful. Our tour guides Alex and Marcel were very knowledgable and entertaining. The boat tour showed a different view of the vineyards and inlcuded a snack and drink! The lunch was delicious food and wine with great views. The olive oil and honey tastings were a fun addition and the winery tours were very informative and delcious!

The whole tour was great, with visits to good wineacres, sailing on the river and good lunch.

Our driver and tour guide Sergio (probably spelt wrong, apologies) . Punctual pick up, really great English and information , good driver. Seamless transitions to wineries, tastings, snacks, boat trip. Would do it again, so much to see and learn !

What a wonderful day. From the time Angelica picked us up to the time she dropped us off. We thoroughly enjoyed. All stops were great. The wineries were terrific. The lunch was not only delicious but the place was so beautiful. We could have stayed all day. Angelica was very knowledgeable and made the trip so enjoyable.
