The South Okanagan and Similkameen is an outstanding birding location and is home to over 250 different species in a variety of habitats. Some of these species are found nowhere else in Canada.
The region is ideally located to take advantage of a mix of northern boreal and mountain species, while being the only part of Canada with a southern Great Basin fauna in its dry valleys.
We specialize in guiding individuals and small groups, providing custom birding and wildlife tours to help you discover the wild side of the Okanagan. Whether you enjoy walking/hiking while birding or driving and seeing as many species as possible we can arrange a great day in the field just for you.
Whether you have a target list of birds or you want to catch a glimpse of the famous Sage Thrasher, Yellow-breasted Chat or Flammulated Owl, we can cater to your needs. We guide beginners, photographers and experts alike.

A very cool experience. I learned alot about the different birds that are here locally or pass through on their way to another destination. Eric was full of information and I'm really happy I took part in this experience as now I have a better appreciation for the different species and can keep my sights on finding these birds when out hiking.

Our guide Eric was very knowledgeable of all the birds in the area not just visually but could identify them by their sounds as well. He catered our tour to suit our needs after inquiring as to what we were hoping to see. We visited a variety of habitats. Scenery was spectacular and Eric was a real pleasure to be with. He was kind enough email us a list of the 35 species we saw today. We’d highly recommend taking a tour.
