When visiting Romania, it’s a shame to skip one, very important, part of Romanian culture and tradition, that is still a mystery for most foreign visitors: wine.

Dorian is an amazing host!! He shared his knowledge in a way that made me feel comfortable because I do not know much about wine. Tasting the wine was a trip through România. Each wine tasted superb, with the final red absolutely amazing!! Abel’s is a relaxing place too. Thank you!!

Visited on a quiet Monday afternoon. The host was welcoming, despite us being the only people there. He was knowledgeable and informative. The wines were great (even the rosé!) and the charcuterie board was a nice added touch. In fact, we stayed on for another glass after.
Can recommend highly.

All the wines we tasted were excellent: 2 white, 1 rosé, and 2 red. Dario provided great information about each one and about Romania’s wine industry and history. The charcuterie plate included an excellent array of Italian artisanal cheeses and meats, and assorted condiments, and the atmosphere was just right for an intimate tasting in a quiet little corner of Bucharest’s beautiful Old Town. The pours were generous, Dario was an excellent host, and we felt relaxed and very satisfied with our happy hour wine tasting experience!

Had a great time tasting give really good wines, all local to Romania, accompanied by plate of meats and cheeses.There were discussion materials on the grapes and regions and presented by very knowledgeable and personable staff in great ambience.

We wandered down here one evening during our week stay in Bucharest and ended up going back 2 more times. We tried several wines as well as the cheese platter and the mixed cheese and meat platter. Dario was very good about suggesting what might be a good choice of wine and encouraging us to try some different ones. A very relaxed spot away from the party streets but not too far! Definitely worth a visit or 2 or 3!
