We were visiting Greece on board the Celestyal Journey cruise ship. None of the cruise line excursions for Thessaloniki looked exciting to us, and we really wanted a chance to see Mount Olympus in person. I found this tour online, and it was the only one available that fit the length of time we were scheduled to be in port. Despite the fact that our cruise ship kept changing the times and duration that we would be in port that day, Michael was incredibly accommodating and reassuring that we would be able to see the mountain as planned. He and his wife picked us up very near the cruise terminal and whisked us off to Mount Olympus and Aphrodite's river, with several other fascinating stops as well. Michael is a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. They have rightfully earned the excellent reviews I read prior to booking, as our experience was exemplary. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. I have come to understand that he offers other kinds of tours as well (wineries, etc.), for those whose travels will keep them in Michael's beloved Thessaloniki for a longer span of time.

This was such a fun experience! Michael and his wife Dora picked us up on time from the cruise port, and provided good commentary and conversation on the drive to Mt Olympus. Once there, we saw a bunch of interesting things, such as old churches and chapels, canyons and a waterfall. The hike was exhilarating, but not overly strenuous. My 70-year old parents and 5-year old son were able to do the entire excursion. Michael was a great story-teller and provided a good insight into the old mythological aspects of Greek culture. Afterwards, we stopped at a local beach for lunch. All in all, it was a great experience!

Great trip, including village and beach stops, toilet and coffees/cakes provided at local cafe. Michael provided a history lesson on Greek mythology during the trip. The walk was easy (we’re in our 60s) and you just wear shoes, shorts and light shirt and hat. The weather was warm and much of the walk in the shade. Excellent day. Picked up at 9 and dropped back at 3.

We highly recomend this tour. We had a great day with Michael. He is very knowledgeable of Greek mythology, Greek history but also contemporary Greece. We had a great conversation during driving, he is a super pleasent person to be with.
This is a private tour so he picked us up in the morning and returned us when we arrived back in Thessaloniki. Thank you Michael:)
