In this private walking tour, we will explore the picturesque historic sites of The Rocks.
This area is the birthplace of modern Australia, and any tour of this city should start here.
The tour guide will run the tour exclusively for you or your group (up to 10 guests). This is a very intimate experience to make you really enjoy the rich history of the oldest neighbourhood in Australia.
We will reveal how Britain created a penal colony on the other side of the world and what the first convicts found when they first arrived. We will explore hidden cobblestone alleyways to unveil the harsh living conditions of this first settlement. We have tons of fun anecdotes to bring this historic district to life.
Sydney Harbour is the perfect background for this tour, and we will explore all the secrets behind the two major projects that have put Sydney on the map, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and The Sydney Opera House.

This rating needs six stars, like the Australian flag (and you find out why there are six stars on it in the tour!). Oscar was an amazing guide. He packed over 200 years of history in two hours while getting to see some terrific sights. We were able to ask plenty of questions, and saw parts of The Rocks that we would never have seen otherwise. He really brought the history of the area to life. Please take his instructions seriously about comfy shoes… it is on historical streets and uphill. Must do!

Oscar was our tour guide and he was awesome!!! Great first impression of Sydney and a vault of information on the area. He even gave us some tips on how to make an authentic Spanish dish my husband asked about.

Our guide was great. We learned so much about the rocks. He made it very interesting and showed us things we would not have seen if we were on our own. Tour also ended in an awesome spot overlooking the city.. thanks for a great tour!

Oscar was an amazing tour guide! My partner and I learnt so much about the history of Sydney and was amazed at how much history is right at our fingertips that we were not aware of. Oscar made the tour fun and comfortable and his knowledge of Sydney and the Rocks is impressive.

If you are having doubts this is the message to stop thinking and book with DS Tours! Great experience. It was a rainy day and yet still the best plan we could've had.
We have been living in Sydney for a few months and finally got to know more of the Australian culture, fun facts and history that otherwise we wouldn't have known.
The tour was supported with photos and maps that helped a lot to immerse in the history of The Rocks.

We did the night tour of the Rocks area with Oscar on a beautiful Sydney evening. Oscar was absolutely amazing, his knowledge of the area and early life in Sydney and Australia s history was mesmerizing . We saw so many sights and incredible landmarks . Oscar is a real storyteller and brings to life the past with the present. He runs small tours and we would strongly recommend him to everyone who is looking for a incredible walking tour with humour and understanding. Australia's best tour guide and Sydney's best tour. Not to be missed😊

Descubre Sydney was a fantastic introduction to the city! Oscar and Ana are very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. We covered a lot ground (and learnt so much!) without it seeming like information overload. I would definitely recommend this tour to friends & family :)

Oscar was terrific. We enjoyed this tour so much. There were 8 of us, and that was a perfect sized group. We thought the iPad was very helpful in telling us the story. He had pictures that described the history and the facts he was explaining. We’re really happy we did this, and he even gave us lots of suggestions for what to do with the rest of our time.
