The tour was perfectly organized. We got all our tickets (entrance, bus, train) in advance. Drivers were all punctual.
Our guide Jhon was great. He knew a lot of details and guide us safely. In addition, the food was really great.
I can 100% recommend.

Our excellent guide, Sergio, led us up and down, over and through some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, along rocky, smooth, steep, flat, challenging paths - with expertise and humor, always keeping our safety as well as positive experience a priority. Excellent value for money; excellent food, quiet accommodations with no one else around - last night in Aguas Calientes the exception. Sergio pointed out special bits we may have missed, sharing his love for the region, for Pachamama.

Where do I even begin…We had our tour scheduled at the most interesting time (in history) when the president was impeached a week prior causing strikes and protests to break out causing roads/transportation closures and flight cancellations out of Peru, etc. If it wasn’t for our gracious tour guide, Stif, we may still be stuck in Machu Picchu, where about 200 tourists were stuck with no trains coming or going causing water, food, and supplies to run low. Him and his team went above and beyond to do all that they could to get us out and back safely to Cusco. Through the better judgment of Stif, we were able to see Machu Picchu on the 4th day before they shut it down completely the following day. Apart from the drama above, the tour was very well thought out and meticulously planned. Our chef, Jesus, is Ratatouille in human form. How he was able to creatively put together 3 meals a day that catered to all diets and that was also very delicious is beyond me! You definitely won’t go hungry on this tour as they keep you well nourished and hydrated throughout the day. Our group consisted of my friend, myself, a solo traveler, tour guide, chef, and 2 horsemen. The first 2 days is not for the faint of hearts. Even if you are active and in shape, this trek will test your superior athleticism. I had a respiratory infection coming in so there was an option to pay extra to take a horse up the first 2 of the hardest days, however, no option to take them down. I ended up hiking over 70km, while the others in the group hiked over 100km total in 5 days. 30km was us hiking the train trek to get out of there due to the protests and closures of the train. Thank god for Stif who combined us with another group and had a bus waiting for us late at night to get back to town when protesters were sleeping. We heard of other tourists having to hitchhike and getting back to Cusco after 6am. It took us from 1pm - 2am to get back on 5th day. Honestly cannot thank Stif and Jesus enough to keep us in good spirits and getting us safely back to Cusco. Even though we endured a lot of mishaps during our tour and what we went through rarely ever happens, we are very appreciative for Stif and his team during this trying and unfortunate time. Definitely book the tour. You’ll be in great hands.

It's taken me a little over a week to sit down and write this. Not even sure where to begin. First and foremost our guide Jhimmy, cook Gabino and Ramon, and porters deserve many many applause.

This trip has been a dream of mine for five years. Our guide Jhimmy, was so very wonderful. The first two days were HARD for me. And I'm well aware, that I'm not always the most fun to be around when I pushed to my physical limits. However, Jhimmy was encouraging, appropriately funny, and got me to Salkantay Pass! The small group of us (4 tourists + Jhimmy) allowed us ALL to benefit from his vast knowledge of the landscape, flora, fauna, and Quechuan culture. He also seemed to know everyone!

When we said goodbye to Jhimmy at Machu Picchu, I started crying. I know these guides take clients on this trail week after week. But for me, this was a dream come true. A once in a life time experience. I hope the guides, cooks and porters know they are doing meaningful, life changing work. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who can put one foot in front of another. What a great way to experience landscapes and cultures of Peru not accessible by car. Or at least not easily!

My girlfriend and I did the Salkantay Trek. Lake Houmontay was absolutely amazing. Our guid Johnny made our trip absolutely amazing. He fixed my bag on the fly when it broke, and he was extremely knowledgeable. When I return to Peru, i will definitely ask for him.

Great tour and brilliant experience. Jhimmy our guide was kind, funny and knowledgeable. A pleasure to spend 5 days with him.

The chef and food were incredible through out- some of the best food I've had in Peru.

Well organised trip, ideal small group, would definitely recommend.

Thanks Jhimmy and team.

We had a great time on the tour, and our guide Jhimmy and the chef Braulio really made it special!

Jhimmy was friendly, thoughtful and always looking out for us to make it as an enjoyable experience as possible. He is hugely passionate and knowledgeable about the landscape and Inca culture, and also liked to get involved with the group and have a laugh!

We were never left hungry nor disappointed after any meal, with Braulio going above and beyond to constantly surprise us with the food he brought out.

10/10 tour!

We absolutely loved this experience!! The service was great, the food amazing (thanks to our talented cook who followed us during the treck) and the beauty of the landscapes were indescribable. We had Walter Ccoto as a guide and he was the best ever! He took the time to explain the traditions, the religion, the plants, etc. He let us have our own pace during the hike, he played cards with us at night, and was always thoughtful. I even had a cake made by the cook because my birthday was during the trek. We were never disappointed by the company. The program for the 5 days was perfect, with the hardest days at the beginning and then activities (ziplining, hot springs) for the last days. It was so good to visit the Machu Picchu for the last day, however it wouldn’t have been the same experience if we didn’t do the trek before. So we recommend 100% this trail.
As for the altitude, we didn’t feel unwell (expect the short breathing) but we arrived in Cusco 3-4 days in advance especially to get used to it. And if you feel unwell, the guides always have coca leaves to help you with the altitude.

I can't recommend this trip enough, it was unreal!!! I was so lucky to have the best group and we all got on so well together. Our Instructor Jhonatan (Jonny) was the best instructor ever, we were very lucky to get to spend five days with him - his knowledge about the Incas and nature was amazing to learn and I was able to practice my Spanish alot by talking to Jonny who has a lot of patience. The scenery on the walk was very very special, every day was completely different - from snow capped mountains and minus temperatures to hot jungles, Salkantay truly has it all! And I also need to give a special shout-out to our two cooks to cooked us 5star meals 3 times a day! I don't know how they cooked such amazing dishes with very little resources at every campsite, I am honestly in awe. They looked after us very well. Advice for doing the Salkantay is have lots of warm clothes for the first night as it can get very very cold. The walk itself is challenging but vale la pena para todos, it's do able for everyone.

Once again I want to thank Jonny our instructor for just being the best instructor ever, I will miss you alot (if I could I would do the trip all over again in a heartbeat)

Gracias por todo Conde!!
