After meeting your guide in Athens, hear tales about the ancient Greeks and their lives in Delphi while travelling by air-conditioned coach with zero carbon footprint. You will reach Delphi towards Mt. Parnassos, making a short rest stop outside the town of Levadia. The first stop is the Delphi archaeological site – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Skip the lines and walk around the evocative ruins with your guide, see famous monuments like the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle. The second stop is the Delphi museum, with its spectacular exhibits. Be sure to check out the bronze Charioteer of Delphi and the Sphinx of Naxos. After lunch, visit Athena Pronaia Sanctuary, the most photographed spot in Delphi. Return to Athens passing by the picturesque Arachova, built on the slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese.

Fantastic day trip to Delphi - the tour guide was knowledgeable and provided tons of information about our destination and Greek history/mythology. The bus was extremely clean with working AC and wifi throughout the trip.

The trip was well organised and the ladie Dozie (apologies if name is incorrect), was very well spoken and full of information regarding the whole trip, she made it enjoyable. The stop over at restaurant was a very good meal, I'm glad we paid for the meal separately and very well enjoyed the mosaka. They preferred to be paid in cash, but credit card was acceptable.

Delphi and the Greek countryside were wonderful. Very knowledgeable guide. Adequate stops for breaks. Walk at Delphi can be strenuous especially if the weather is really hot - and it was.

Kostas, was an amazing and informative guide to our day.
He was able to inform us about the magical, mythical and historical value of Delphi and its surrounding area. For anyone who is interested in why this site exists, he is your man, Kostas, treated us, with so much wonderful information in a palatable form interlaced with humour and also gravitas in certain places. Clearly a very proud Greek man.
Delphi itself is a trek up a very large hill to the summit. You have to carry Water with you and make sure you have sensible footwear. Unlike other monuments it does have pine trees which give a gentle shade, but maybe not during a heatwave like today.
After the climb, there was a short walk to the Delphi museum. This time we were met with some of what I consider to be the most important and interesting items from antiquity. The Egyptian come Greek statues of two brothers. They are the reason why we have such beautiful statues around the world. Check out their bottom do they remind you of early Renaissance statues. I believe without these two - we wouldn’t have of David. Art lovers you have to see them upfront! But there is so so much more..
We concluded our day with lunch which we bought as an extra and had a lovely meal at a family run restaurant good options starter, mainly and desert.
Nice coach, lots of breaks and very comfortable for a 10 hour trip despite the precarious hillsides.
