Mark was incredible! He gave us very detail of the history of the places we passed and visited, how the recent cyclone had affected the area. Information on the plants and animals at each place.

This was a nice tour of North Queensland. Our guide Clinton was very knowledgeable and helpful, and came along with us at every stop. Highlights included seeing the crocodiles on the Daintree river. Unfortunately, the roads are a little damaged due to a recent storm, but the tour carried on.

Bit confusing because it said this was “Active Travels” tour when it was really “Cairns Adventure Tours”. Guide was 30 minutes late and then seemed rushed trying to catch up.

Loved the local native smoke ceremony to start the day. Would have liked more time to explore Mossman Gorge, but it was beautiful.

Daintree Rainforest was great, especially the trip on Daintree River where the boat captain/ guide pointed out all the resident crocodiles and told us about them.

Best part of the day for me was Thornton’s Beach- where the Daintree meets the Great Barrier Reef. As the guide mentioned, it’s two UNESCO sites in one location. Overall a good day and very worthwhile.

Let me preface all of this by saying Karlos (Carlos?) was the major reprieve to everything that went wrong with the day. He was an outstanding and very entertaining “Captain”. However, due to unfortunate flooding six months ago, the itinerary had changed and I was never made aware via email as Karlos made it seem I should have been. Had I known a portion of our three part trip was cut out, I might have tried booking an alternative excursion. Additionally, it was mentioned that they were only running one of four buses (perhaps bc it’s their off season?) and the additional pickup and drop offs caused more delays which in turn meant we had to forgo lookout stops and cut time at Mossman and Daintree both. So, although our guide was the highlight of the day, I wish we’d done something different with our time and money - or at least been given the information ahead of time to properly gauge potential alternatives.

Very enjoyable tour. Good tour size (circa. 23 people), tour guide (Orion) was knowledgeable, local and personable, able to offer lots of additional tidbits and information. Mossman Gorge was beautiful and the Daintree River Cruise was interesting (the boat used looked disconcertingly similar to the boat on the Jaws theme park ride at universal studios). Only reason it isn't 5 star is there was a lot of driving, which couldn't really be helped given the distances involved

This is an excellent tour if somewhat a long day, much on a bus because of the necessary distance covered.
Oscar, our knowledgeable guide and driver made the day so enjoyable with loads of interesting information. He had to navigate many narrowed roads where landslides occurred after Cyclone Jasper.
Mossman Gorge indigenous experience was one of the highlights for me: a great privilege to receive helpful healing information. This was my third visit here and it always feels very special. The Daintree is always magnificent and the relaxing croc spotting “cruise “ a worthwhile addition. Thornton’s Beach is a vast expanse of sandy beach; it was a welcome relief to take a brisk walk after sitting for some time.
My salad lunch was deliciously healthy. And the icecream combo an our return was some of the best I’ve tasted.

Our guide, Clinton, was knowledgeable and engaging. We loved our day and all of the experiences. He gave us information about the local culture and allowed me to ask many questions. I came away with a deeper love of the Kuku Yalenji people and the Daintree Rainforest. I left part of my heart in the rainforest and hope to return soon.
