The acropolis including the Parthenon. The Archeology Museum. Enjoyed the gardens and having the ability to get off and on at our leisure.

Wonderful way to experience the city of Athens without all the walking. The buses are semi air conditioned and some have coverings on the top to protect you from the blistering sun. We ride the complete route first to get a feel of the city before hopping on and off at points of interest. The pre-recordings at each stop are also informative. Must do!

The best way to get an overview of the city. Easy to hop off, explore an area then hop on again.
The only downside is that not all the buses have a roof over the upstairs level & it has been crazy hot in Athens.

We like to use Hop-on, Hop-off Bus when we visit a new city in a foreign land. It gives us a quick overview of the layout of the city and background on some of the important sites, but some perspective on how we wish to spend our available time. This was helpful to us in Athens as it had been in other cities, as we were able to locate the Acropolis, museums, and other points of interest from our lodging. The pickup/dropoff locations were convenient and made sense for exploring, and the recorded messages provided helpful introductions.

Can’t recommend the hop on hop off bus enough!!! While It can get hot up top if thr canopy isn’t up, It is such an easy way to navigate around the busy streets. Being that we were in Athens for just a day? Made It much easier for us to quickly visit areas like the grounds for the 1896 Olympics, Zeus’s temple, Plaka, National Library, Acropolis, Greek Parliament building etc.

I have done hop on hop off tours before, but they have always had a live tour guide. This tour does not, it's all recorded tours that you use headphones to listen to. The buses are HOT. HOT. HOT. and many of the headphone ports don't work. Even when they do work, the volume is difficult to hear and the tour guide is monotone and rather boring. The buses are packed and sometimes you have to wait in the sun for several buses to come by before one has room for you. We only used about two hours of our three day tickets since it was so bad.

Great to see the important sites of Athens but the traffic is a nightmare in Athens especially on ship in port days ( Tuesday?). The Piraeus optional green tour worth if but again nightmare traffic.
Taking over two hours to do all 15 stops.
Use metro to miss sections you are not interested in.

Great way to explore the city without a lot of walking. We purchased the 48 hr pass for all 3 lines and it was wonderful. We usually ride a complete route first and then get off and explore points of interest. Especially great to get a respite from the sweltering heat. Must do!

I did not enjoy this. It was hard to find, then long wait for a bus, hardly any seating. Bottom is A/C but all windows are covered with their logos and can’t see. Top would have been better but it was too hot out. Couldn’t understand driver. Went once around and got off. You can walk to see what you want, or gonna taxi would be easier if you don’t want to walk.
