We believe that Turkish cuisine is one of the best and healthiest cuisines in the world. At Cooking Classes Bodrum we offer recreational cooking holidays in an idyllic setting near Bodrum, overlooking the ancient Bargilya lagoon, where even the birds choose to rest on their journeys to the south. Turkish cuisine is a melting pot of traditions and cultures, developed in the fertile lands at the heart of human civilization. There are endless varieties of recipes, with each region, town, and neighborhood having their own unique food traditions. In Bodrum we have access to fresh produce and seafood all year round, making it the place to take a cooking class and to learn about Turkish cuisine. We specialize in Aegean Turkish cuisine, which is mainly based on olive oil dishes and vegetables and herbs. Our cooking classes are an ideal holiday activity for those interested in healthy eating and unlocking the health benefits of the Turkish way of eating.

Wonderful! The Farmer’s Market in Güvercinlik was a fantastic experience. Then the cooking class, subsequent food, and wines were excellent. Ms. Belgin was an outstanding guide — friendly, kind, and informative. The setting for the class and lunch was beautiful. Highly recommend!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. From the minute we met up with our group (only 7 of us), it was apparent we were in for a culinary delight. The market was mind blowing with abundance. Our chef took us all around introducing us to unique offering from her country. She introduced us to all her friends at various booth. We sampled everything from raw artichoke hearts in lemon and olive oil to rolled up eggplant philo wraps, every variety of olives, spices, dried fruits, you name it. We could have happily stayed there and made a feast off just the offerings of the market. But off we went up the mountain to a MUCH COOLER temp and gorgeous views at the cooking school. Sous chefs in our glory. Chef told wonderful stories of recipes passed down through generations, simple prep tips, spices to add a twist. So many tips and tricks. She had two assistance with her, so this was never an arduous choir. It was a very relaxing experience. We enjoyed our lunch with an amazing local rose’ and finished with the most simplistic dessert that left us all mind blown and craving more. We wrapped it up with traditional Turkish tea while our driver sampled our leftovers. They dropped us off at our requested spot near the castle. If you only have one day in Bodrum, this is an excellent way to immerse yourself in the culture and tradition of this beautiful country. Highly recommended!

Fabulous! Inforgettable.
This was a last minute adventure, the very day we were to fly back to England. Amazingly Asli managed to set up a private course, market visit and superb cooking lesson with a wonderful teacher in her own beautiful home on a hill overlooking the bay and marina.
We learned and experienced so much. The market - sights, tastes, sounds - the countryside, the lavender field, Arabian jasmine, how to prep samphire, a pinch of sugar with the onion, wrap lemons in paper and they keep well w/o chemicals in a cool place, purslane, grated tomato(!), and so much more.
Truly the high spot of a wonderful visit to this wonderful country.
Thank you 🙏🏻

It's a real stretch to title this as a Cooking Class. It is a nice afternoon helping to prepare a few tapas and enjoy delicious wines at a home located near Milas (an hour ride from the cruise port of Bodrum). Our host for the afternoon and her husband were delightful; she shared her tips on how to stuff grape leaves (the filling was already prepared), stuffed Phylo (the filling was already prepared), and a couple of salads. No recipe sheets were provided. From a food safety perspective, please change the order of preparing items so that handling raw meat is the last item (vs using the same boards for the raw meat and later, raw vegetable salad).

So enjoyable to cook at this home in the country. The view from the patio was fantastic. Could see the lagoon in the distance. Garden was lovely. We all enjoyed making local dishes with our chef. The market tour was so interesting. The abundance of fruits and vegetables was amazing. We enjoyed the tastings at the market. Was truly a special local experience.

Relaxing place to hang out. Wonderful people. Beautiful surroundings everywhere. Shopping was actually fun. No strong-armed sales approaches here. Would love to return someday.

This was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. We began in the Turkish market, purchased all of the food, and went to a private home, where the master chef cooked us a fabulous meal on an outdoor patio. The experience reminded me of Napa Valley! She had plenty of attendants to make the experience special, teaching us how to cook and sharing her grandmother’s, recipes! A first class experience all the way!

Best food I had in Turkey. Though not much actual cooking vs watching and the chief explaining what she was doing.
