On the South Coast and Glacier Lagoon Tour you will spend the day experiencing firsthand the invigorating diversity of the Icelandic landscape. From views of Vatnajokull glacier, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls to the sparkling hunks of ice found on the Diamond Beach at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon.

On your way to the glacier lagoon, you will pass through the South Coast region of Iceland, a land of magnificent waterfalls, striking black sands, massive glaciers and volcanoes interspersed with farms. You will have unforgettable views of Skaftafell wilderness area in Vatnajokull National Park and drive through the starkly beautiful black sand expanse of Skeidararsandur. Just before reaching the lagoon you will also have a view of Iceland’s largest active volcano, Oraefajokull.

Karen was very knowledgeable about all the history, language etc. Great sense of humour and so friendly. Loved the sights but only thing I was sad about was not much time at the locations visited. Can’t be helped though as it’s a 14 hour day with lots of travelling. But if a whistle stop tour but amazing experience and definitely recommend

I would not recommend this tour. The tour guide we had was Brandon and he was not nice and was visibly very annoyed whenever we asked a question. On the bus we tried to ask something and he ignored us. The only reason why this tour might be worth it was because we saw a lot in a single day but the tour guides should never be this rude. He also rushed us at every stop and told us there were no diamonds on the diamond beach when there definitely were.

Excellent Group tour. The guide was very cooperative & knowledgeable. Well organized trip.
This trip was too long (7::30 AM to 11 :15 PM) but still had a wonderful time.

We were supposed have an hour at the glacier lagoon and an hour at diamond beach. No one was late on the bus ever and we didn't run into any traffic so there was no reason the itinerary shouldn't have been followed, yet if you chose to do the lagoon boat tour, you had no time to go to diamond beach because they cut us 30 minutes short what it should have been. If it was 2 hours total like advertised, there would have been plenty of time for both. I reached out and the company was of no help and was not concerned with this.

This was a great tour! We really enjoyed ourselves. Loved the glacier boat ride. The tour lasted 15 hours so we’re extremely tired!

The trip itself was wonderful. The tour guide was informative and was accommodating to our drop off needs. My issues are with the tour provider. We selected a ‘no pickup’ option because the pickup locations were all with an easy walk of our condo. The night before, they changed it to a 40 minute walk away and earlier. When I had contacted them previously with an unrelated question, they got right back to me. When I asked them to change the location back to the original pickup - crickets. They also don’t allow food or drink on the bus (other than a capped bottle). While they did stop, it would have been nice to eat a snack on the 14 hour tour.

Highly recommend this experience! The diamond beach and glacier tour are amazing, especially the boat ride on the lagoon which is an additional charge. The driver and guide were great. Would have liked more time with the waterfalls but had a tight schedule. Best to pay extra for pick up since the meeting location has limited car parking. The communication with the guide and the drop off shuttle driver was horrible, leaving us stranded in the cold for 30 minutes at 1030PM. Don’t get off your bus until the shuttle arrives. We called customer service and they helped very quickly. They don’t respond as Viator messages very fast. Overall good experience with a horrible freezing finale.

Fantastic day. Long tour but worth it. The only caveat would be a suggestion of a different stop (if available) for a dinner break. We stopped at the same place in Vik going and coming. It would have been more enjoyable to extend the stay in Diamond Beach and eat at the dining stalls/trucks.

The scenery was incredible. The guide (Karen) and driver were the best! Although, a very long day, it was well worth it.
