We did this as a way to orient ourselves to Singapore's history, and it was great - really interesting and fun. Our tour guide was terrific and was able to answer everyone's questions.

Our guide, Helena's tremendous knowledge about the history of Singapore was amazing. We received an in depth history lesson which was even more than we anticipated as we toured the various important landmarks on the hill. Highly recommend Helena as a Fort Canning tour guide.
(Although we were disappointed to find out late that the Battlebox was not included on the tour, it was a short walk to the Battlebox visitor center to register and access the bunker which is run by a non-profit which is grateful for donations. It is

If you are fortunate enough to get Helena as your guide, be assured of a great experience. This park is a critical key to understanding the history of Singapore. Helena weaves together the many threads through a very sophisticated cultural lens that is refreshingly honest and direct. Highly recommended.

This was a fascinating – albeit a little warm – visit around the Fort Canning area. Our guide was excellent and kept our small group of five very informed as she recounted a version of Singapore’s origination and history. I have been to Singapore countless times over the last 20 years, but all for relatively short periods, this was the first time I have spent understanding its rich heritage and the shock of the Japanese invasion in Feb 1942.
The gravestones around the wall were illuminating, not least because over three quarters of them seemed to be for people who died under 40. It was rare to see people die in their 60s.
Intellectually interestingly.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide Sui Sui was great and we certainly leant a lot about Singapore's history, not just Fort Canning. This tour doesn't get into the Battlebox but we booked this direct (it's free) for a 12-1pm slot so we could go straight in after the tour finished.

We booked this tour because it included a visit inside the Battle Box Bunker
I downloaded the ticket and noticed it had 2 tour start times 9am and on page 2 of the ticket
2pm. I sent a message to the tour organiser to clarify the 2 tour start times but did not
receive a reply.
Two days before the day of the tour I received a WhatsApp message informing me the tour
of the Battle Box Bunker was no longer on the itinerary as it was closed and under
refurbishment. There was no offer of a refund for missing this vital element of the tour
We arrived at the designated meeting place at 1,40pm as instructed, No one from the Tour
Organiser appeared at 2pm. The receptionist of the Canning Centre “Christina” tried to
contact the tour operator via phone but the number was unobtainable.
We visited the Free Interactive Fort Canning Heritage Centre and we were then directed to
tour the Battle Box Bunker…. Which was fully open and not under refurbishment. Entrance
to the Battle Box Bunker was free, although we did purchase for a small donation a Timed
Audio commentary of the Bunker. The staff at the Bunker were very helpful and they also
tried to contact the Original Tour operator. Again the provided number was unobtainable.
If there's only one tour start time then the Download ticket needs a serious reprint…..

Our guide, Helena, was very personable and friendly, on top of having detailed and in depth knowledge of every location and topic of the tour. She addressed everyone in the group by our names and engaged us all along the tour. Helena provided insight and information that would not be found in a book. I highly recommend taking this tour and especially with Helena.

Helena's information during this tour was excellent. There was a last minute change where the tour was amended to not include the Battlebox. This was disappointing because it was a key reason why we booked this tour and the change meant we missed out on seeing it during our time in Singapore. The organisers knew when we booked months prior that they wouldn't be doing the Battlebox, yet they waited until inside the cancellation period to inform us. Very misleading.

Our guide, Helena, rounded up the 9 of us booked for the tour. (We and 1 other weren’t on her list). Her excellent commentary and care made the experience one to remember.
We learnt so much of Singapore history.
