Come and experience the wonders of the Pilanesberg Nature reserve in full day open safari drive . Have the opportunity to view the big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), up close and personal.
We collect everyone from there hotels in or Pretoria Johannesburg around 530 to 6 am before we head out on safari.
We have a short stop half way to Pilanesberg for some refreshments . Our open safari experience starts around 9 am and ends around 3 pm . We do have a 1 hour lunch stop at the Pilanesberg Center over looking a small watering hole .
We exit the park around 3 pm and estimated time of arrival back in Johannesburg is approximately 1730 to 18h00. We can have you at the airport but remember to bring your luggage with you .
Sightings in Pilanesberg are amazing . We only use small 10 seater vehicles and our guides are all extremely passionate qualified with extra in-house training .

We organised a full one day safari to Pilanesberg National Reserve through MoAfrica Tours. Their transport picked us up from our hotel in Johannesburg at 05:45am and we arrived at the Game Reserve about 3 hours later (including a toilet/coffee stop). From there the Guide/Ranger took over and we set off in their open sided safari vehicle (we were a group of 9 and their vehicle can take upto 10 people ie not too big a group and everyone gets a good view). The day comprised 2 game drives with an hour and a half in between for lunch (a reasonable sized menu and service). Game drives were excellent, we saw hippos, elephants, dear/antelope, crocodiles, giraffes, zebra, lots of bird life and a lion in the distance. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and happy to stop the vehicle and take questions whenever. We left the park at about 3:30pm and arrived back in Johannesburg at about 6pm.
The driver, Sunny, and the guide, Tean, were both excellent, they were friendly and helpful in every way. The arrangements were made with Mo-Africa Tours via WhatsApp and they also couldn’t have been helpful and friendly, I unreservedly and highly recommend them.

The tour was spectacular. Everyone at MoAfrica wad friendly, professional, and on top of things. An extra thanks to our guide Tiann, who really put the effort into giving us an incredible experience.

Had a wonderful trip. Out guide was very informative and got us some great views. We saw 3 of the big 5. We also saw the largest male elephant i have ever seen. We also almost got charged by him. Very exvitibg trip.

We had a splendid day even though we only saw 2 of the Big 5 (elephant and rhino). I think you should make your own Big 5 anyway. I had seen buffalo and lions in other parks but the leopard continues to elude me. At Pilanesberg we did follow leopard prints but the leopard had expertly concealed itself somewhere. Be ready with your camera as sometimes the jeep driver doesn’t stop for long. Alex was a safe, prompt and professional driver, thanks Alex. It is a long way from Joburg to Pilanesberg so be prepared for that.

Everything went very well, an unforgettable experience, the very comfortable journey with air conditioning, wifi and good driving.
The safari with very good explanations and many animals were seen.

Our guide “Petrous?” Was great. He was engaging very knowledgeable and ensured we had a great experience! We searched for the “Big Cats” but they were on vacation LOL! I would recommend him and would do it again for sure!
