In our experience we visit places not visited by the masses, we will take you to the town of Mano Juan, the only places inside the island where theres people leaving in a small community. Here we will know a community leader who run the turtle conservation area, we will have the time for learn about Turtle and how important they are for the planet. In Mano Juan, we will serve you a breakfast, with sandwiches, juices and fruits.
After Mano Juan Beach, We will be visiting a secret location beach, with beautiful landscapes, white sands beaches, perfect beach for jump in the water and enjoy the Caribbean Sea of Dominican Republic.
After we will continue to the famous Abanico Beach, here we will enjoy a private self service buffet lunch with Dominican Food. After lunch we will continue to Palmilla Beach to The Natural pools to see star fish.Snorkeling

What a nice dat we have had!
The dat started early with a 6 am pickup.
But it is worth getting up that early, after a comfortable busride (with wifi onboard) we went to saona island on with the boat.
Because we started early we where (one of) the first on the island. We arrived before the rest of the big groups of tourist, when they would arrive we would already be on our way to the next spot.
The guides and the boat crew really try to make it a informative and nice relaxed day.
Would do it again for sure!

Nos encantó la experiencia todo fue excelente Melvin junto con su equipo hacen un excelente trabajo. Las playas son bellísimas, la piscina natural con estrellas de mar y el snorkel fue genial 😀

The tour consisted of, as I recall, a boat ride to Saona Island where the first stop there was Mano Juan (small sole village with turtle sanctuary) then a remote beach. Then away to mainland Dominica Republic to a nature reserve where in low tide we handled starfish, then away to the start point with the opportunity to swim with a school of colourful fish in a reef there.
The guide was Melvin and he was engaging from the very start; introducing himself with a very brief icebreaker and letting the party introduce themselves and where they are from. He then proceeded with, as he surmised, a 500 year history of the island in 10 minutes. I had known a bit about Haiti and its situation but he delved down on the way the island was later split into two and that Haitians can commute there without no real restrictions.
The food was great and family prepared. One of the party asked if Melvin enjoyed being a guide, as it was evident to all, and he confirmed so. Indeed he joined us in the sea on two stops.
For each stop Melvin gathered us around and briefed us fully about the situation there. He deliberately got us to the stops before the large parties arrived, with their catamarans and music, so we could enjoy beaches etc in solitude and value as a small party.
Once the tour was over and the party was being dropped off, he shared photos via airdrop and the bus’ Wi-Fi.
Overall a very good day. And a very good guide.

What an amazing trip!! It’s long (6 am - 6pm for us), but well worth the island tour with Melvin. We went with 2 kids (4 and 7 year old) so it was a bit long for them but they did fine. I loved that we got to the different parts of the island before the massive crowds arrived so that was a big plus. Lunch was delicious and plentiful! Melvin and his crew provided great personal service with wonderful kindness and warmth. Thanks Melvin! He is full of knowledge and I loved learning about this history of the country and culture. I highly recommend this tour, please book, you won’t regret it!!

100% recommend this excursion! A small group not too busy just perfect ! Seen a lot of this island ! The food/drinks that was included was good organized ! The price was worth it ! Melvin is excellent ! Will recommend if you getting motion sickness quick to take it right before the excursion starts the boat ride going and going back can be rough ! But we enjoyed it !

Honestly, I never write reviews but this was worth it to me. This was by far the best thing I did all vacation. Yes, I was picked up early, it's a little bit of a drive to the boat from where I was staying in punta cana and the ride over to Soana was 35 minutes from where you launch the boat but...
We were the first to the island with beautiful scenery and no one around. We visited multiple beaches and took the most beautiful pictures before the crowds came in. I wasn't smushed on a boat with a giant crowd and treated like cattle. It was a glorious experience with a small group, we learned about Turtles, we sipped pina coladas from pineapples we had our own roped off section of the beach so when the crowds did come no one was in our area. The lunch at the beach was so cute. On the way back we visited the mangroves and saw at least 7 Turtles swimming. We got to hold starfish and snorkel where we saw a multitude of different fish. Our guide was knowledgeable and very kind and just so much fun. Our driver was nice and so were the people we drove us on the boat. We went with my father, my mother in law and father and law and 2 children 4 and 11.
A+ would do again..

Amazing day from start to finish. So well looked after all day.
Picked up at 6am and back to hotel about 5.30pm. Air conditioned mini bus with wifi for transfers.
A long day but so worth it.
Breakfast and lunch provided. Drinks included all day.
First to every beach so ideal time to take photos whilst quiet. 3 beach visits plus a star fish and snorkling stop.
Guide took photos all day and then sent everyone them free on drive back via airdrop or WhatsApp
Speed boat was amazing.

This was perhaps one of the most beautiful and historically informative tours I’ve ever been a part of. Melvin was incredibly insightful and walked through every aspect in sequence of what was happening next. We were the FIRST people at every island and it couldn’t have made for a better experience. Bring your go pro… But Melvin takes awesome pics with all the angles!!

Amazing experience!!! We beat all the other boats to the private beaches by almost an hour and we had a much smaller group. Melvin took us to multiple beaches on Saona island and grilled lunch for us himself - it was so good! He stopped multiple places for us to snorkel and even took pictures for us that he airdropped to us for free. He provided detailed history on Saona island and the DR. If we come back to DR we are definitely booking with him again!! Picked us up at our resort and the ride had wifi 👍🏼
