Fantastic tour with, not too much travel inbetween. Jorge was a great host. Cenotes were so refreshing and we saw lots of turtles at the beach

Our guide Jorge and our driver Benjamin were great. The cenote tour was the best part, but it was all good. The Mayan ruins and the cliffs above the beach were fun even if they were a little wet. Swimming at akumal with turtles was fun. We saw a few interesting fish and a stingray or two.
I do wish I wore flip flops instead of sneakers and water shoes. A waterproof case for the cell phone is a must. It was rainy on our trip at times so we did not need a lot of sunscreen but bug spray when touring the ruins was very important.

The weather this week was less than desirable - which made this tour a nice escape from the resort. We didn’t get to experience snorkeling with the turtles due to the heavy rains which was a bummer but the cenote was awesome! Oscar was a wonderful tour guide.

My husband and I wanted to do an excursion during our honeymoon and this one checked all the boxes of things we wanted to experience.
We were picked up at our resort and immediately greeted by our tour guide Jorge and he couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful.
We were with 4 other couples and while the whole trip was fun, I must say the cenote visit was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life. Another couple had been to 3 other cenotes and they said the one we visited on the tour was by far the neatest experience. If you want a little adventure, this part is for you! You swim through caverns with waterproof flashlights and in spots where you pass closely under coral . The water is clear and clean and you wear a life jacket which makes it feel very safe. You should know how to swim and not be afraid of deep water. But I promise, this is a once in a lifetime type of experience you don’t want to miss. It’s truly magical! Jorge made us feel safe the entire time. I recommend bringing a waterproof phone case. Some people wore water shoes but I didn’t bring mine and didn’t really need them. I wore sneakers and then changed into sandals for that portion.
You do need a little cash for admission to the cenote — just FYI! And our backpack was super handy.

Swimming in the cenote was epic. Wish we of swim with the turtle 🐢. But do to bad weather couldn't make it happened. Next time.

If you are hesitating to do this tour don’t!! This was an incredible tour!! Unfortunately we could not do the turtles portion secondary to the weather but the company immediately refunded that portion of the tour and we did the Ruins and the Cenotes and still had an incredible time. Our guide for the Mayan Ruins was incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about the history and made the tour all the more entertaining for our 4 teenagers.
Terry was our guide for the cenotes. Terry was amazing!! He is very eco-conscious and incredibly knowledgeable about the Mayan traditions, the flora and fauna in the area and the cenote we were in. Again our 4 teenagers really thought the cenote was incredible secondary to all of his knowledge that he shared with us.
Our family highly recommends this tour and you must ask for Terry and Speedy Gonzalez!!
