Teotihuacán is a large Mexican archaeological complex northeast of Mexico City. Through the center of the place, which was once a flourishing pre-Columbian city, passes the Calzada de los Muertos. This links the Temple of Quetzalcóatl, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun. The last two have panoramic views from their peaks. Artifacts from the Museum of Teotihuacan Culture, on site, include pottery and bone work.

Absolutely unnecessary to buy a ticket in advance. There is no queue. The visit is beautiful, but be careful with the sun and the harassment of guides who suggest a visit to a little shop called Caa do Artesao and some caves.

Viator uses local companies that are not very reliable. The tickets we purchase we never sent on 1 off the booking. When we requested a refund, a long process ….. never received a refund.
We tried to call the company used by Viator and not much luck!

We loved visiting the pyramids , but our tickets thru trip advisor were more expensive and did not work since we had no way to print. After buying, they informed me they only took paper tickets, and we had no way to print. At the gate tickets we’re $20 and on this web site they were $35, so I am out that money at the moment unless Trip Advisor gives me a refund. I will never use this service again. So disappointed because their reviews are usually so helpful.

It was a scam. They never sent the tickets. Buy your tickets there and avoid this. You do not need to buy these tickets in advance l.

The pyramids were really beautiful. 1 star because I couldn't find the ticket place and we couldn't use these tickets when we got there. We had to buy tickets on the spot in there and they were sooo much cheaper.

I could not find the place where you pick up the tickets. The tickets were cheaper at the door and there is no line to get tickets. I repurchased tickets rather than order an uber to find the place. They did not give clear directions to pick up the tickets. I recommend you get there at 8am. No one was there but a few people selling souvenirs. Later in the day it was a little crowded but still fun.

Essentially just paid about 5x the price for someone to walk over to the ticket booth, buy us tickets at the regular rate, and give them to us at a marked up price. Save yourself the $$$ and just go there and get them yourself directly.

I found this quite awkward. I arrived to the parking lot as agreed and they brought me to one store for long explanation that I did not asked and it was not mentioned.
Then they invite me visit their store to purchase souvenirs. Later they insisted to get a guide and to pay extra.
I did not wanted all this “experience” and to waste my time on this.
I found this a kind of scam and I’m wandering how is possible that trip advisor gets involved on this kind of practices.
Finally they brought me to the entrance, they paid a couple os USD for the tickets and we were able to get in.
Final recommendation, non of the treats of long lines and the need to purchase the ticket in advance is true. This is a pure and simple scam.
If you want to visit the place go a park in the entrance 5, there you pay for tickets and parking for very USD.
