The Frida Kahlo Museum is located in one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in Mexico City, the center of Coyoacán.
The Blue House is the Intimate Universe of Frida Kahlo. In this beautiful residence, the artist lived most of her life; initially with his family and years later, with Diego Rivera. Likewise, interesting Mexican and foreign visitors stayed in this place, attracted by the captivating couple of artists.
Frida wanted to leave her house as a museum, to learn and enjoy her beloved Mexico. For this reason, after his death, Diego organized the Frida Kahlo Museum here.
The museography was in charge of the museographer, professor and great poet from Tabasco Carlos Pellicer, a very close friend of the couple. The administration of the Museum was entrusted to the Trust of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Museums,

The museum was wonderful. My downgrade in stars is for Viator for two reasons: 1) the Apple wallet tickets do not work. It requires WhatsApp tickets. This is very misleading and confusing. 2) the Diego Museum entry is not clear and there is no mention of it except in your booking. More details could have been provided. We never made it to the right Diego museum. So that part is just a marketing add to making you think you get more for your money.

A day before I purchased tickets on Viator, there were many Frida tickets available for the whole week of my visit on the museum's official website, for half the price. The next day, they were all sold out - but with many tickets available via Viator, this tells me that ticket scalpers are busy buying up all the tickets and selling them back via this platform. Nonetheless, I was excited to go and purchased the expensive tickets anyway, and received downloadable tickets from a random WhatsApp number. However, the day before our reservation we became very ill. I responded to the original ticket holder via WhatsApp about how sick we were, but they told me I could not get a refund due to policy. You took $75 USD for nothing. I'm very disappointed with the experience.

All the tour where terrific. We had the opportunity to appreciate in deep detail all the art around the house. My daughters enjoyed a lot as weel as us. Definitely we want to come back in the future.

Unfortunately we were very sick and couldn’t go. These tickets are for a popular attraction that always sells out however they are non refundable. Other sellers offer refunds the day before. I would recommend buying from them.

Make sure to download your tickets ahead of time, not just the period of purchase voucher and DOUBLE CHECK your time slot. I picked a time a Viator pushed it out by 45 minutes. Luckily I had nothing planned after but we sat out in the sun for an extra hour because we didn’t notice Viator changed the time from what I had picked.
Museum was great, Viator experience, not so much.

Had a nice visit to La Casa Azul and the staff was accommodating considering we were late for our scheduled time. I feel the visit could be enhanced by providing better context to the exhibits (maybe in video form without having to try to read the tiny print nearby).

Don’t forget to call the travel agency to get your ACTUAL tickets
When I purchased these tickets on TripAdvisor I received an email reminding me to download the tickets, which I did. The tickets I received, with a barcode, were not the actual tickets apparently. I needed to call the number (on the trip advisor ticket) and ask the travel agent to send me the actual tickets (they were sent by text), which said Frida Khalo Museo at the top (IN BLUE) before they would let me in. It worked, but it just took an out 5 minutes which put us into the next grouping of people. No biggie but wish I had known that before.

There were not many things to see compared to the entrance fee (so expensive!)
I am disappointed that there aren't many paintings by Frida Kahlo and I'll advise my friends
who visit Mexico that they don't need to go!
