In this 3-hour Shibuya Food Tour, you will not need a Shibuya map or Shibuya travel guide. We show our guests the delicious side of Shibuya, a place more known for being at the forefront of culture and fashion, and rarely known for its food. People always ask where to go in Shibuya. Of course, there is the Shibuya crossing location and most people know that Shibuya is close to Harajuku but Shibuya restaurants either cater to tourists or they cater to the locals. We want to show our guests the places to go in Shibuya, the places the locals go, so the next time they visit they can do as a local does. Experience a part of Shibuya that no tourist will ever see on their own with the most delicious food only locals usually get to taste. Get the chance to try different amazing dishes and traditional desserts! Nestled in the back alleys, these places are an unforgettable experience you won’t want to miss.

Our family had a wonderful start to our Japan vacation with our friendly guide Sandra and the Shibuya tour. We were able to enjoy some great tonkatsu ramen, chicken, a standing sushi bar, and okonomiyaki as well as see some interesting sights and learn some of the cultural history of the area. We definitely had experiences we would not have found (or understood the context of) on our own. Sandra did a great job engaging not only us parents but also our two boys and patiently answering all their questions! She taught us food customs and etiquette we used throughout the rest of our trip. Thanks Sandra for getting our vacation off to an awesome start!

Our tour guide Jane was fantastic. Best sushi in town and Ramen was fantastic. We would not have found these places on our own. We learned some of the history as well as eating delicious food and having a great time. Thank you Jane!!

Jane was a great guide. Excellent English speaking guide who had really good stories to tell about the area. Delicious food choices as well. Loved the Ramen and the Standing Sushi Restaurant. Loved all the food options. Only recommendation is that there were 3 or 4 other food tours going on at the same time and we had to wait for a bit at a few places b/c the shops were too small for all of us. Recommend that you stagger the groups so we aren’t all at the same places at the same time.

The tour was excellent! Highly recommended. Went with my 15 year old foodie daughter and she loved it. Our tour guide Jane was so lovely and knowledgeable. She really was very thoughtful about each restaurant and the items she ordered. She told us about Japanese customs and cuisine. So enjoyable. Thank you for making our trip memorable! Amy& Izzy

This was one of our groups favorite things we did while in Japan. We were surprised at getting some more cultural history of the Shibuya area prior to and during the food tour. We lucked out and were able to have two fabulous tour guides so it was extra special to have more insight from people who are not native to Japan but are passionate about the country and food. We were sad we didn't have enough time in Tokyo to have another tour as we definitely wanted to do another one!

Our food guide Vanessa introduced us to some wonderful street food while touring around Shibuya. We enjoyed local sushi, Tonkotsu ramen, Yamachan chicken wings (yummy!) and okonomiyaki (a delicious layered pancake concoction). We totally enjoyed our experience and will do it again next time we are in Tokyo!

Had a wonderful time with our guide Saika, she showed us spots in Shibuya for ramen, sushi, chicken and okonomiyaki, she taught us how to behave properly and how to eat sushi the correct way. Very friendly, experienced and thoughtful to the guests.

We loved this food tour. Melissa was a great guide and took us to a variety of places to explore different types of foods and different types of restaurants. She was thoughtful about the food restrictions and preferences within our group. She even convinced me to try the Sushi. We had lots of laughs and Melissa made us feel like we were her favorite group ever (weren't we?). Thanks to Melissa for an amazing night of Japanese food, culture and fun.

We did this food tour our second day in Tokyo and it was amazing. We had struggled our first day to find great food then Malik introduced us to a whole new world. The food we had was unforgettable and Makki was so informative. I’d recommend this to anyone planning on a trip to Tokyo!
