Departing Melbourne at around 8am, you'll pass through Western Plains of Victoria on the way to historic Ballarat. Ballarat boomed in the 1850’s with the widespread discovery of gold in the district. Learn a little about the history and enjoy morning tea at the site of the infamous Eureka Rebellion. Continue the drive through the picturesque western volcanic plains, passing through the town of Moyston, the birthplace of Australian Rules Football.

Arrive at the foot of the Grampians Range known as Gariwerd in the local Jardwadjali language and immerse yourself in the Australian bush with a gentle stroll to Silverband Falls.

Continue to the township of Halls Gap for lunch. Keep an eye open for the local kangaroos and the abundant birdlife that can be seen in the main street. After lunch, head to the Wonderland Turntable for a short hike to the Grand Canyon.

Your last stop is MacKenzie Falls. No trip to the Grampians would be complete without a visit to these majestic falls.

Joined the Grampians National Park tour and Lucy was our tour guide. Lucy was the best guide you can ask for, from telling stories, making jokes, to checking on everybody.

In the morning, sweet Lucy greeted us with muffins and teas to ensure we have a perfect breakfast to kick start the day. Along the trip, she continuously entertained us by her lovely humour. You can tell that she’s genuinely passionate about the eco and wild animals. She also respects Indigenous Australians history and beliefs. So we got to know lots of local fun facts through out the trip.

I’m thankful to Lucy giving us the opportunity to visit such beautiful scenery and marvellous side of nature. If you are lucky enough to join Lucy’s tour, you know you would have a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

I did the Grampians National Park tour with Go West and had a fantastic day.

My guide was Rachel and she was fantastic. She was very informative the whole day, telling us about all the small towns and areas we passed and took the time to look for wildlife throughout the day.

There was no rushing throughout the day, and as we were fast walkers Rachel added in an extra couple of walks.

I would fully recommend doing this tour.

We had a short trip to Melbourne and have had really great tour experiences booking through Viator so we were really excited for another fun adventure. Our expectations were blown away by Jools who we wish could be our guide on all our adventures. She was funny, answered our questions, and went well above and beyond when a few folks on our trip got lost. Huge kudos to Jools and thank you for a wonderful trip!

This is my second tour with go west and it didn’t disappoint. This tour was amazing and beautiful even though the weather was a bit rainy I think that made it more special.
We went around the Grampians and saw some breathtaking waterfalls with LUCY our tour guide giving us facts and information along the way. We also stopped at these historic towns along the way and learnt the history behind them.
I would totally recommend, I am a solo traveller ( 21yo) and I can’t wait to book with them again.

TIPS !!! Bring a poncho / raincoat and water.
Have fun :)

Aaron was fantastic and the tour was so much fun! Lots of awesome sights to see in and around the Grampians and Aaron even stopped to let us hang out with some kangaroos. The hikes were a little challenging for someone out of shape like me but not too long, and well worth it for the photo spots, especially McKenzie Falls and Reeds Lookout. Aaron was knowledgeable and informed us about all the local wildlife and history, but also knew when to let us doze off. I could've done without the land acknowledgements and lecturing about the evils of white people, but I've been in Australia long enough to know this sort of thing is expected. Overall a great experience.
