1. Hradcany
Our wondering through Prague will start at Pohořelec in the Castle Town. After a short introduction to Prague´s history, you will continue to discover the beauty of Prague Castle Town and its surroundings. Monuments we will see and talk about along the way to the Prague Castle Town Square are Loreto and Cernin Palace. Later on at the Castle Town Square, we can admire the unique facades of the Schwarzenberg and Archbishop´s Palace, before our attention will be stolen by the magnificent view of the Prague Castle entrance and Prague panoramic view.
2. Prague Castle
Shortly after entering the Prague Castle, a symbol of the Czech Republic, and a UNESCO World Heritage, we will stroll through the first two courtyards and reach the main entrance of the St. Vitus Cathedral. This cathedral, containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors, is a prominent example of Gothic architecture and is the largest and most important church in the country. We will be able to enter its first part to see and talk about its history and architecture. The guide will take you around the Cathedral to show you the most impressive view of the entire church, decorated by a glass mosaic, gilded window, and tell you more about the history and importance of this jewel among churches in the Czech Republic. 3. St. Vitus Cathedral
Shortly after entering the Prague Castle, we will stroll through the first two courtyards and reach the main entrance of the St. Vitus Cathedral. This cathedral, containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors, is a prominent example of Gothic architecture and is the largest and most important church in the country. We will be able to enter its first part to see and talk about its history and architecture. We will also point at the two most significant windows. First is the Slavic tribe allegory, painted by the famous Czech Art Nouveau painter Alfons Mucha, and the second, made by František Kysela which depicts scenes from the Biblical story of creation. The guide will take you also around the Cathedral to show you the most impressive view of the entire church from the outside, decorated by a glass mosaic, gilded window, and tell you more about the history and importance of this jewel among churches in the Czech Republic.
4. Kampa
A river cruise is an excellent opportunity to explore Prague and Charles Bridge from a different perspective while resting after a walking tour. Enjoy the 50-minute cruise and admire the magnificent views of Prague Castle from the Vltava River. We will provide you with one complimentary drink is and you can choose from a beer or soft drinks.
5. Stredoveka Krcma (Medieval Tavern)
The tour continues to Lesser Town, the most picturesque part of the Prague´s historical center. Here we have a time for a lunch break in one of the oldest Prague taverns. You will be able to try traditional Czech dishes such as goulash or meat prepared over an open fire. And we will take care of your hydration by providing you with a soft drink or a unique Czech beer from a small brewery.
6. Lesser Town
There are two routes and it is up to the tour guide which one he/she chooses and also up to the season. In the summer season, we visit Wallenstein Palace Gardens, in the winter season, we are visiting the Gardens on the Ramparts below the Castle. There are more stop options at Lesser Town. We can visit the Baroque Church of St. Thomas or the Church of the Infant Jesus of Prague. The second one is close to the John Lennon Wall. If you are interested in one of those specific sites, please let know the tour guide in advance of the preferred route. Unfortunately, the time is limited, therefore we are unable to visit all the monuments on the way. We also try to cut down the steps to a minimum for your comfort. This tour is an overall introduction to Prague's historic center, during which we will pass by the most significant Prague monuments, but can't enter each and every one of them. That will be up to you following the days of your stay.
7. Republic Square (Namesti Republiky)
You might feel a little bit of tired at this point, but trust us, you will thank us later because you did it! You covered all the Prague's major attractions in 6 hours! Now it's your time to enjoy the rest of your day in Prague and maybe have a coffee in the famous Cafe in Obecní Dům (Municipal House) or do some shopping at Palladium Mall. At the Square of the Republic are metro station, tram and bus stop, to take you anywhere in the town or back to your hotel. If you wish us to take you back, you will need to order the drop off during the tour. This service is not included in the tour and it costs per cab.
8. Stare Mesto (Old Town)
The second half of the tour includes a brief visit to the Jewish Quarter and Old Town. Of course, you will also be able to see the world-famous Astronomical Clock and the Old Town Square! After walking through the Royal Route you will come to the end of our long but entertaining tour – the Square of the Republic in the New Town.

We paid almost EU$200 for this two person tour. The visit to all the sites was good. I think the tour guide should have had more information on the monuments. During our boat trip she decided to stay in the first floor of the boat and we went upstairs on our own. I think she should have offered to go to further explain what we were seeing. Also, the lunch medieval tavern place was amazing but when we asked for an additional water (we ordered two soft sodas), she asked us to pay for it. After paying this much for a private tour, you would think that one bottle of water will be included. Seems odd to me that this happened. She had a beer. We only had sodas. She made several comments insinuating that foreign people should not be in her country and this issue should be also looked into. She was kind to us but these things should be addressed. Thanks!

The whole day was very good and enjoyable atmosphere of Prague was intriguing. When we were picked up at the hotel there was no formal identification as the driver didn’t show any ID of who he was. As we were the only 2 people waiting outside so he beckoned us. At the start, the tour guide introduced herself but again she wore no identification to say she was from the tour company. The tour guide had good knowledge and as expected very proud and patriot. Something to be admired in a person. We wore trainers which was a very good idea for the tour. It would have helped if there was an itinerary provided. The tour guide was very helpful as well.

It would have been really nice if the coordinator did not fail to remind our guide of our appointment. He was late for an hour. But the tour was good. Martin was very passionate and knowledgeable.
