Private Transportation from Antigua to Pacaya Volcano. We arrive where your horse will be waiting dressed in the beautiful colors of Guatemala. Each horse has your own private cowboy guide (keeping you safe throughout the entire experience) Ride over lava rock to astounding views of 3 other volcanos serving at the foot of Pacaya volcano. Here your private lava chef awaits you as you roast marshmallows on the hot pockets of the lava and your chef prepares a pizza to be cooked on the lava coals. This is luxury style as your host will prepare a brightly colored Mayan picnic with colorful cushions, blankets and wine service. If sunset tour is available (out of rainy season....) we stay until dark so you can see the hot lava veins flowing and your cowboy guide leads you safely out in the dark, to your transportation back to Antigua.

Maybe if I was picked up to go on the tour, after booking and paying for it via aviator the day before I would have loved it. instead I sat 90 minutes for no one to message they can’t come or pick me up.
Not sure who’s at fault.

Can’t recommend it to anyone unless you ended up super bored in Antigua and left with nothing else to do. The organization was quite poor.. and i feel sorry for the horses forced to climb up the mountain. We were fedeed with a slice of pizza and a can of soda. Overall trip took around 7 hours. We returned to the hotel quite exhausted and all dirty

This was the highlight of our trip to Guatemala!
The experience itself was incredible (I'm swear wine tastes better when you drink it on an active volcano!), but it was the kindness of the guides that we will remember forever. I was a bit worried that my five-year-old, who'd never ridden a horse, would be scared, but the guides made him feel at ease and he loved every second of it. My five-year-old was also a bit apprehensive about walking over the dried lava so one of the guides hoisted my kid on his shoulders, which my kid couldn't get enough of.
We'd recommend booking direclty with Niki - she made the booking process super easy and she also helps the local horses and children, so really, this trip was a no brainer :)

This was an awesome tour! Everything was very well organized from start to finish. This is the best way to tour Pacaya. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for something to do while visiting Anigua. As an added bonus, by taking this tour, you are helping support the rescue horses.

Amazing experience! Made our whole trip to Antigua! Every part of the tour was top notch, from the transportation to the horses to the views and food. The cowboys and guides were great! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Antigua. Best of the best!

I had one of the best days of my life on the tour. This experience is like nothing you've ever seen before I couldn't recommend it enough and the pizza was fantastic and the booking was easy. This is a must do if you are in Antigua!

Manuel picked us up in Antigua. He was very nice and spoke English. He made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed his company. He took us to where the horses and cowboys were. We had a lot of fun. Picnic on volcano, Roasted marshmallows and they baked pizza. The pizza was VERY GOOD 👍🏻. The cowboys were wonderful leading our horses up the volcano. We felt very safe with them and they were very nice and funny. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO IT.!!!!! Marvin and Jimmy was really nice.
