This was a great snorkeling trip. The boat is very large and modern, and the crew very serious about their work (in a good way). The first reef site was OK, but then the second reef (Hastings) was fantastic. Their picture person did an excellent job - so be sure to buy the pictures.
Incidentally, I was scheduled to do an intro dive, but at the boat it was found that my medical conditions didn't allow for that. The company gave me a refund within two days without me asking for it. It shows that they are a honest and quality organization.

Excellent day out and lived upto expectations!! Chris cooked some lovely steaks and Kanani was extremely helpful with reef information, she was able to answer all questions really well. Would defo recommend!!

They give you minimal instructions for the introductory dive, and based on past record clearly knows that it's not rigorous enough and yet continues to charge people upfront, because the majority of people including excellent swimmers who were on my cruise failed to dive. During the trip they said they'll refund the additional charge for diving if we request through Viator, but now they are refusing to do it. They also cancelled the glass boat and the helicopter tours during the trip, so there was no way to do them instead of the dive for the same cost. The lunch provided was bland and the morning and afternoon snacks were too basic for the exorbitant price they charge. They ruined my first encounter with the great barrier reef.

total disappointment. Dont do this in winter. Rainy, rough seas, seasick passengers for 1 hour ride to crappy outer reefs. No visibility in water, cold water, rough seas and strong currents. Nothing like what was expected and a horrible experience. No color in the reef, limited fish to see. Nothing like the pictures. Almost feels like a giant scam. Save your money unless you want to swim with 140 other people in a giant washtub like experience

We did the snorkeling excursion. There were also scuba divers on our boat on a separate deck. This company is so thorough and organized! Your group is assigned a table to stow your bags/towels and each passenger is assigned a number. Then, they size your flippers/masks and stow your gear in a numbered cubby until the first stop. Instructions are provided so that snorkelers know what their hand signals mean and how to enter the water safely. You are free to move about the boat for better views. Roll call is checked frequently by number. Lunch was great with lots of variety.
The snorkeling was unbelievable--so many fish, coral--amazing! It was like swimming in an aquarium. They have add ons for helicopter rides and glass bottom boat for extra fees.
Tip: Start by checking in at the building before the pier. Then, go to the boat.

My husband and I went with our two adult daughters and one of their friends. Wow! This company has its act together. So organized, friendly, and safe. They assign each passenger a number and use that number throughout as roll call as well as cubby number to store your flippers/masks in between sites. They have you try on flippers/mask early on and store them in your cubby. They explain how to enter the water and what their signals mean to keep everyone in the chosen area. Lunch was good and the service was amazing!
There are separate areas for snorkelers and scuba divers to sit in order to give them instructions. Each group is assigned a table inside to store bags/towels.
Highly recommend!
