A 3-hour hands-on cooking lesson lightly touching upon some of the most interesting facets of Italian, and in particular, Venetian cuisine.
Using local seasonal products, we’ll prepare an entire meal together to be enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings of A Tavola’s architect-designed workspace, or outdoors in the charming courtyard/garden when the weather allows!
Each season has its ingredients and each Italian festivity has its dishes and together we’ll create the most iconic examples of Venetian cuisine in line with long-held family traditions passed down through generations.
We’ll talk about the history of Venetian cookery and the abundance of ingredients sourced from the Venetian Lagoon and, through sharing and cooking together, you’ll discover the secrets of preparing a selection of exquisite local dishes that you’ll be able to recreate at home on your return.

We were very lucky to have such a great group and the whole event was really fun! We were able to try lots of delicious specialties and it was a great experience to prepare them ourselves. There was also excellent wine, and all of this in a beautiful and very well-kept location. Many thanks and warm greetings to Marta and Beatrice, our great leaders!

My partner and I took part in this cooking course and it was an unforgettable experience! We prepared very delicious Venetian and Italian dishes and ate them accompanied by delicious local wines. The chefs were very professional and hospitable. The place was perfect and cozy in every detail. The kitchen is very professionally equipped. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience and if we are in Venice we will definitely participate again! We heartily recommend this Venetian cooking course to everyone! 😉

As I was travelling alone for work, I was looking for a way to spend my free time, learn something and meet new people. I was recommended this cooking class and I wanted to try it, also because I love Italian cuisine! It was a really great experience, I met other people who have the same passion for cooking as me, the place was crazy, in the middle of Venice with a secret courtyard! I had a great time and it was great to eat, cook and meet other people and curiosities about Venice and its cuisine! Kudos to all the staff, but especially the chefs were great. Thank you!

I had the opportunity to participate in an A Tavola cooking class with a friend. The location is beautiful, truly Venetian with a professional kitchen. Everything is very clean (important if you are dealing with food!) You can see that the spaces have been organized and created with this objective. It is located in a central area of Venice but at the same time very "local", far from chaotic tourism. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to meet other people of different nationalities too. An experience that I certainly recommend and would do again. Chefs Marta and Beatrice were truly excellent hosts. A thousand thanks!!
