This 2, 5 hours walking tour includes the visit of the amazing downtown of Florence and San Lorenzo fresh market: strolling through the market stalls you will learn loads of precious information, suggestions and recommendations regarding the food traditions in Tuscany, all your senses will be overwhelmed by the colours and the flavors, even the market noise will be a pleasant sound. This is not just a street food tour, we will also illustrate the arts of the city, share history, stories and anecdotes, while passing before the famous Santa Maria del Fiore CATHEDRAL, its impressive Battistero and astonishing DOME.
Before end the tour in PONTE VECCHIO there will be time to taste a simple, tasty and traditional SCHIACCIATA that is a crisp and chewy Italian bread, made with a basic mixture of flour, yeast, olive oil, water, and salt filled with cured tuscan meat.

We had an amazing trip tasting Florentine favorites and learning about some of the history of this beautiful city. Serena, our tour guide, was lovely. This is a great family activity!

We lucked out and were the only two ion the tour, which was nice. Our guide Serene was very nice. The tour i felt spent a lot of time in the Central Market, which at first, we really enjoyed until the end. It felt like we saw more of the Central Market than anywhere else. Outside the market we only stopped at two spots- sandwich ( which was good) and then ended with gelato. I would have liked to cross the Ponte Vecchio to explore some history and tastings there as well. I thought i read you ended at the bridge below to a good picture? Not sure, but enjoyed it being just us two and the food and merchants we met were nice. Would have enjoyed same amount of time in Central market just more variety afterwards.

Anna & Alexandra were such wonderful tour guides today. We were brought to many wonderful places. We loved the market with all the specialty foods. Lunch was so delicious. We highly recommend this food tour. Put it on your places to go list for sure.

Christiana Our tour guide was good, but the overall tour could be a lot better. I’ve been to these types of tours in Germany, London and Barcelona , so this one pales in comparison. I think that there should be stops for sitting in a space and talking about the food while tasting. You are walking and standing the whole time and the 1st stop at the market leaves much to be desired. The 1st market stop is very sales pitchy, but the 2nd stop at the pasta window was amazing. Tour ended with gelato with a sweet ending.

Fillippa was amazing! She was very personable and knowledgeable, and she introduced us to some very delicious foods, and gave us great recommendations for other places to try. It was just two of us on the tour with her (me and a friend of mine) and we thoroughly enjoyed! There was plenty of food, but very well spread out, with perfect serving sizes. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
