This trip was great. Exactly as advertised, a 2 mile kayak one mile hike and all of that to return. Nathan was a great guide and was really knowledgeable about many of the plants during our hike.
I would advise you bring a water shoe or hiking shoe you don’t mind getting completely wet as you will be walking through water. I brought a sandal for the kayak portion and a change of shoes for the hike so I wouldn’t have completely wet feet the whole time.

Our guide Ericson made us feel like family rather than tourists. He was knowledgeable about every little thing we came across and shared some of the beautiful traditions of his island home. Would go again.

Amazing! Levi was the best guide. He was helpful and shared so much of his culture. The singing and prayers he offered made the experience extra special. I will definitely book this again!

Aside from the beautiful river and hike, our guide made the trip! I was told by a friend to just rent the kayaks and do it ourselves, but I had already booked the trip and boy am I glad we went with a guide! We learned so much about the different plants and history of Kaua’i! Our guide, Erickson, was an awesome dude who has an incredible story and is very engaging with everyone! Would definitely recommend!

The hike to the Sacred Falls, and the Falls were great! However, the witnessing of Hawaiian traditions and respect for the land was very powerful. Levi (our guide) provided complete explanations of the reverent ceremonies throughout our tour. Levi also had a great sense of humor and was very personable.
