Doing the Salkantay Trek with Alpaca was incredible from start to finish. The organisation, professionalism and expertise of the team is unmatched, with the biggest shout out to our guides, chefs and porters. Edward and Jean Carlos form Alpaca were so patient with us, and gave us all the help we needed. They were so reassuring throughout and we couldn’t have done it without them. We are so grateful to the team and would 10000% recommend Alpaca tours to everyone. (Ps - food was amazing throughout, go Walter!!)

If I had to describe the Trek in one world it would be: Breathtaking. The perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. The tour guides Edward and Juan Carlo were very knowledgeable and would help with whatever requests we had. The chef Walter would consistently cook tasty fresh meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Would highly recommend.

Great experience. Edward Apaza and Jean Carlos knowledge and humor really made this trip a fun time. The porters and chef were also extremely hardworking and reliable.

Great food! Super cool views. Edward and JC were great and always helpful. Walter's cooking was always good. Fabulous experience! Very challenging and therefore satisfying to visit Machu Pichu via the Salkantay Trail!

Just spent a wonderful week with Alpaca Expeditions on their first all women’s trek - female guide, chef, porters and trekkers!
Marcela was an amazing guide. She took care of us throughout, pacing us on the uphills to make sure we made it without too much suffering. She shared information every step of the way - history, flora/fauna, local customs.
The food was incredible - even when I didn’t feel hungry I seemed to be able to gobble up Marleni’s meals. And our cooking class was a highlight!
The all women’s crew set up, fed us, cleaned up AND passed us on the trail daily. A truly amazing group of women. 💕
Thank you all for a truly memorable trip.

I love my experience with Alpaca Expedition, despite the challenging of the 5D5N Salkantay trek, our guide Russell was super. He made me feel so safe and took care of each member of our team so well. Our porters and chef also worked more than beyond! I will recommend this Alpaca Expedition!

I had a wonderful time hiking the Salkantay Trek with Alpaca expeditions.
Russell, the guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout.
Teofilo, the chef was able to provide great food for all if us, and showed great kindness at a time of personal difficulty.
My thanks extends to all the porters, whose work seems superheroic.

WOW!!! What an incredible, challenging, magical, beautiful, and memorable trip. Thank you to Ricardo our knowledgeable guide, Walter our other hilarious guide, our chef and su-chef Walberto and Miguel, the horseman Ruben, our porter Angelica (women power!!!) and everyone else on the Alpaca team for making this trip possible. Each day was filled with jaw-dropping views and every morning we were awoken with coca tea and a home cooked meal. Mil gracias!!!

This was a trip of a lifetime! Alpaca Adventures was amazing! Our guides were the best, and the food was outstanding. Ricardo and Walter were our guides, and no one could have done a better job. We learned so much about the local culture, in addition to hiking through some of the most spectacular scenery I’ve ever seen. Walberto, Reuben, Angela, and Miguel were amazing chefs/horsemen/porters. I cannot recommend this company enough if you are looking for an adventure of a lifetime!
