From the minute Mariluz met us at our hotel we were taken on a fabulous walking tour of the Old Town, culminating with a tour of the Royal Palace. Her knowledge and passion for the city of Madrid was enlightening and fun. Having her as our private tour guide for our group of 4 at the palace was extremely beneficial. If you’re wanting to explore more on your own after, she will provide you with lots of suggestions.

Along with my mom, took the Royal Palace & Old Town private walking tour with Jackie in early March 2023.
Jackie was fantastic! She’s incredibly knowledgable about the area and history of Spain, and her friendliness and professionalism is absolutely top-notch. She quickly adapted to accommodate the slower walking pace my mom desired (some areas in Madrid are unevenly paved, and 60+ mom dwasn’t wearing the best shoes). Moreover, I want to particularly thank Jackie for going out of her way to make the palace tour as easy on my mom’s stamina as possible, including gaining permission to allow my mom to ride the private escalator up.
It was evident that Jackie is an old hat at giving this tour, and it was a treat to watch how many locals and Royal Palace staff recognized her. Her English more than suffices for Americans seeking her expertise.
Honestly, I wasn’t especially excited about the tour itself, but Jackie made it an interesting and delightfully memorable experience.
I absolutely recommend Jackie for any Spanish or English speakers who desire to spend a morning and afternoon walking withand learning from a very personable and knowledgable local expert.

Jackie was wonderful!! a definite recommendation to ANYONE visiting Madrid. We also toured El Prado and La Reina Sofia with Virginia and both her and Jackie were EXTREMELY knowledgeable. A++! Gracias Jackie y Virginia!

We had a wonderful tour with Jacqueline. She is so fun and personable to be with and we appreciated her flexibility and listening to our interests in what we would like to see. She’s very knowledgeable and gives interesting information that isn’t an overload. It was fantastic skipping the line into the Palace. Before the tour the communication from her and her partner was excellent. We feel that we made the very best choice in having her show us Madrid and the Royal Palace.
