This 3-hour Street Food Tour is for foodies who want to sample the authentic Street Food of the Yucatan. Visit Merida's main market, sample fruits, and walk along to tasting spots where you can try native dishes such as 'Cochinita Pibil' (pork cooked underground), 'Panuchos' (tortillas stuffed with refried black beans), Empanadas, and have Ceviche as lunch (This changes on Sunday and Holidays). End your tour with a sweet stop at a gelato shop specializing in exotic flavors.

It was a scorching day, but Laura helped us secure hats and fans, and we had so many wonderful bites of food. Definitely come hungry! Laura gave us great insight into the local culture and culinary delicacies specific to this region, a few of which I had never heard of, and I love food! I highly recommend her as a guide.

The tour takes you on an amazing journey through Central Merida; through the food market and tasting the vast flavors of local cuisine. Laura was one of the best tour guides I have ever had; she took the time to explain the history and culture and was very passionate about her expertise.

We enjoyed this tour very much! Our guide Diego was very nice, explaining a lot not just about the food, but also about the city and the history. Before the tour he was checking on allergies or food we don’t eat. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious. You get to taste a lot of different things, like Ceviche, Tortillas, typical fruit and drinks and many more. We had a great time and recommend this tour to everyone!

Would thoroughly recommend this trip for all foodies. Our guide Diego really looked after us on the tour and gave us a detailed lowdown on all the different local fruits from the market. We also tried tacos and tamales and this delicious pork rind which we also made into tacos! We then walked to a fish market to have ceviche and rounded things off with gelato. The tour was very much geared to ingredients and provenance of these things so it could be a bit slow on the eating side of things for some people. Despite it being a very hot day, it was still very enjoyable. Diego even sent us a recipe book via email at the end!

One of the best food tours we have done and we have done many over the world! Diego was a delightful knowledgable companion for the 3 hour tour. We’ve never tasted so many delicious foods including fruits, spices, drinks and ice cream and Diego explained how ingredients were put together for each dish. He also sent us a list of what we tasted and a little online cookbook!
Highly recommend his tour

Luz expertly guided us through the market, tasting many different Mérida specialties. The ceviche and gelato to finish the tour we're delicious! We even went back to Pola for more gelato on our own. Skip breakfast as you will be very full by the end of this tour.
