Are you ready to soar over waterfalls, zoom through pristine native forests, and be enlightened through a hands-on cultural and ecological experience in Okere Falls, Rotorua? If so, then Rotorua Ziplines has you covered. Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, a network of ziplines, swing bridges, and boardwalks will have you in awe for 2.5 hours as you fly, walk and gaze at the stunning taiao (Environment) that is Ōkere.
Born through an intimate connection with the Ōkere Awa (Kaituna River), this joint venture between Ngāti Hinerangi and Rotorua Rafting’s Ōkere Falls born and bred, Sam Sutton, has been created to showcase its mauri (spirit) and importance with Aotearoa’s soon to be premier zipline experience.
Ensuring that our taiao is enhanced through the very operation will have every guest leaving a tree in their name as Rotorua Ziplines reforestation project plant its way towards 60,000 native trees by the end of 2025 to see Ōkere Falls thrive for generations to come.

Super easy zip lining. Great guides and high quality equipment. Not the longest or fastest runs, but a couple of nice ones over the river and falls.

A wonderful experience, with passionate guides. We where lucky to have such great weather. Our daughters aged 10 and 6 really enjoyed it and grew in confidence. It was an added bonus to have hot tea and learn about local history.

This is not my kind of thing as I'm not young or fit but I decided to give it a go as I was travelling with my 3 girls aged between 14 and 20. It was amazing. Our guides Johno and Josh were funny and knowledgeable and we were all looked after and educated along the way. We all rate it the best fun we had on our trip and would fo it again next time we are here. Keep up the passion and the fun guys.

Wonderful guides (Elise, Jacob, Earl), great location, felt totally safe on the lines (even with no experience); this is probably not suited for the adrenaline seeking type. This is more for nature lovers as you will also walk through a new forest and get some information on plants and birds.
There are just four lines and the very best two unfortunately are the first ones. So be aware of that! Your guides take pictures and you get them for free. You can also take your own mobile phone as you will be given a a little harness to hang it around your neck.

Highly recommend! Not only was it amazing zip lining over rivers and falls, the guides were awesome with information on culture, flora and fauna. Also included traditional Kawakawa tea and some tree planting for regeneration. It was a wonderful experience and something I would do again.

Had the most fantastic experience at the Zipline. Earl and Josh were just amazing. So helpful and informative. Not only did they make us safe and comfortable but we learned a lot and the Kawakawa tea break was a wonderful unexpected touch. The knowledge of the history of the area from Earl and both of their humour and remembering all of our names just made the trip such a memorable experience. The ziplines were exciting. Left with a big smile and will be back again!

A group of international students had the experience to phone home about. Super fun with different lengths of ziplines with each going faster, including a wooden swing bridge made for a great day out. Guides were all amazing, wish I could name them all but our group had Johnny and Joshua. Great guys, full of stories and kept us all entertained. Highly recommend!
