My visit to the Tequilera Doña Engracia was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I have had in Mahahual. From the moment you arrive, you realize that you are in a special place. The atmosphere is authentic, welcoming and full of history.
The tequila tasting was amazing. We were able to taste different varieties of tequila, from white to extra old, each with its own distinctive character and flavor. You can tell that tequila is 100% handmade and made with dedication. The difference in quality is evident in every sip.
Rocio, our Guide during the experience, was fantastic. His knowledge of the process of making tequila and his passion for the product made everything come to life. Besides, the liqueur creams we tried were a delight, especially coffee!
The treatment at the tequilera was exceptional, and the prices are very fair considering the quality of the products. If you are in Mahahual and want to live an authentic experience and learn more about the culture of tequila, you must visit the Tequilera Doña Engracia. It is a place I will definitely recommend to all my friends. Cheers!

This place is amazing. Wish i would’ve came here first. No need for the beach. Stop here and start your journey. The tequila tasting was incredible. The liquors served were absolutely incredible. Customer service superb. Will return.

Rocio was so welcoming!!! Amazing experience!! We came in in a cruise ship and walked to to something "local".... not "touristy"..... this is the THE place to go!! Incredible tequila, got some local food next door and had the most memorable time!!

Rocia, at Dona Engracia Mahahual in the Costa Maya port, was a delightful hostess. She knew her history of the tequila and how to enjoy the tasting. We had flavored sea salt, as a palate cleanser between the different tastings. I bought a bottle of their Anejo (aged in oak barrels) Tequila; and my husband, who wasn't able to attend, thought it was very good & smooth.
Just FYI-Dona Engracia was a $4 per person taxi ride from the port town. Rocia helped us flag a taxi down for the ride back to the port.

Rocio & Lily were very knowledgeable with the tequilas and explaining the process of how it is made. They were very kind and welcoming when we arrived to the store. Would highly recommend this for tequila lovers or just those interested in learning a little about tequila and the whole process of how it is made. Our favorite was peach and reposado!
