Firstly, Manu is great for seeing wildlife, we saw 3 species of monkey, a tapir, loads of interesting birds, a black caiman and loads of frogs and insects. The trip was brilliant, and the guide, Silver (excuse spelling), tried his hardest to spot and find things for us. Obviously though wildlife is unpredictable so you may not see anything.

Communication before trip: great! Message them on WhatsApp for quick responses.

Driver: the first driver was brilliant, slow, careful and safe going round all the bends and roads with no sides. I didn't get travel sick at all. The second driver, coming back to Cusco was faster and overtook a lot.

Food: was delicious! The first breakfast isn't included (tip: get a sandwich, they're really good), but for the rest of the days, breakfast, a snack, lunch and dinner are all provided and cooked for you. There are lots of fruit and veg and healthy options.

Guide: Silver was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the wildlife.

Accomodation: 1st night was basic (brick building) but included a towel and soap. The lodge for the 2nd and 3rd night was basic (wood cabins), mosquito net and private bathroom. Don't expect hot water and WiFi. There's very limited phone signal. For what you're paying it's great.

Activities: the rescue center and hummingbird garden are not included (10 soles and 5 respectively). Firstly, the hummingbird garden is fantastic! Well worth the 5 soles. However, the "rescue center" (dos loritos) should not be on the itinerary as it is not an ethical ecotourism attraction. Baby sloths are able to be held and there are monkeys that can jump on you and you can cuddle. If you are an ethically eco-conscience traveller, you will not agree with the activities. However, you are more than welcome to stay in the van and wait like me and a few others did. Just as a recommendation for Amazon Peru Travellers, try and find another rescue center that doesn't put the animal's welfare at risk for tourists photos. Other included activities including the zip lining, which was safe and good fun. Rafting on a lagoon where you can see sooo many birds. And kayaking on a little lagoon at your own pace.

I did the 4 day but you could get away with doing the 3 day. The 3 day people only missed a 3 hour walk in the jungle and the kayaking activity. The 4th day is purely travel, taking from 8.30am - 5.30pm to get back to Cusco. Although the picnic lunch by a waterfall on the way back was lovely.

Overall a great trip and well worth the money!! Tip: try and pay in person in Cusco and you'll get a discount.

It was a very interesting trip. Our guide, Hans, was extremely knowledgeable about the jungle. Modesto was a great cook. Louis, our other guide, always in a good mood. We walked in the jungle, swam in the river, saw wild animals. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful trip with small group of 7 to Manu NP for 3n/4d. It’s a long drive there but lots of stops along the way and definitely worth it!! Our guide Hans was superb and very knowledgeable about birds which is a plus for me as I’m a bird nerd. The Rio madre de dios is refreshing. Just perfect for recharging my batteries after a long hike the previous week.
Animals galore on this trip! What a treat.
Very safe for solo travellers.

Ps. Vegetarian options were amazing thanks to the wonderful Milly and team.

Incredible tour and journey. Ciro is professional and well prepared, apart from being super friendly and showing us a lot of very interesting things. We saw incredible animals and locations around the Manu Amazon region in Peru, Madre de Dios. Unforgettable experience, totally recommended.

I really recommend this Trip! It was one of our highlights until now. The flora and fauna is insane. Our guides ciro and herman were very knowledgeable, always watched out for animals/plants, very friendly and comfortable to be with. We saw so many different animals, we were very lucky! :)

Punctual pick-up at our hotel, our guide is called Nicolas. First stop at a convenience store, second to refuel. Stop for breakfast and no museum visit planned in the description. Then drive to Parc del Manu. Nicolas is an expert in knowledge of animals and particularly birds. He is not very educational and gives us information at the last minute. Despite this, we found ourselves with a very pleasant group, we ate very well, the lodge staff were super friendly. Please note, there is no possibility of charging cell phones on the second and third nights (only 4 USB ports for around fifteen people). We saw lots of birds, monkeys, snakes, toucans, insects... we did the zip line (not obligatory) without much information beforehand. Once there, security was rather random, we were harnessed by the guide and another person. Then at the surprise end, a rappel from a platform 20 meters high with no other possible option. The descent is implemented laboriously without professionalism. Our English is not perfect, and the guide looks down on us a little. Despite everything, he made efforts to remain sociable. 4 star because of the comments and the not always very pleasant attitude of the guide. Stay to be recommended despite everything.

Nice trip. Intense days mixed with relaxed time. We saw nice birds and monkeys. Zip line was so much fun! The only thing - Lodges. Very very poor hygiene there. Food was just amazing. Guide was very nice guy with a lot of knowledge and so funny. We visited animals sanctuary which also was so nice. Monkeys and sloth were hanging on us.

Incredible experience with my lifelong friends, four days in the Manu reserve. A right mix of adventure and relaxation, our guide Cero made the difference. Competent, kind, helpful and friendly. Always ready to explain to us, guide us. The chef, sweet and very friendly Fransisco, prepared balanced dishes for us. The lodge where we stayed was clean and comfortable (as much as a lodge in the middle of the forest can be). I recommend the tour to everyone
