Vidal and Desy were incredible hosts on our four day trip to the rainforest. From the moment we were picked up in Cusco to the day we were dropped off, they did all that they could to make sure we had an unforgettable experience in the jungle. On the trip we saw many animals, ate great food prepared by Desy, and slept in comfortable beds in the treehouse. This lodge is a little deeper in the jungle than some of the other lodges and it was a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Cusco for a few days. If you are planning on visiting Cusco and want to see a bit of the jungle, I would highly recommend this tour.

Having read glowing reviews, we knew our adventure at the Treehouse Inn with Bio-Manu Tours was going to be something special. But the reality blew even those high expectations right out of the gorgeous green-banked waters of the Madre del Dios.
The trip from Cusco to Manu is a thrill in itself: first by car through the Andes--on a narrow road lined by waterfalls and steep, cloud-cloaked panoramas--then by light water taxi, from the tiny port of Atalaya, deep into the Amazon jungle. The river forever changes with the light and wind, its banks overflowing with surreal green, glorious floral colors, and a symphony of animal and insect sounds.
Half way through the car trip, we were met by our guide Vidal--who speaks great English and knows everything about this paradise in which he grew up. He led us, by day and by night, on unforgettable walks, each of which revealed a staggering variety of plant and animal life. Monkeys, dozens of colorful birds, creeping roots and fantastic spiders--Vidal knows when and where they're likely to appear, and appear they do. Walking silently in rubber knee boots through the dense, muddy jungle brings a deep sense of awe and gratitude--and the sighting of an elusive bird can be thrilling.
Our treehouse could not have been homier or more comfortable--fronting the ever changing river and surrounded by nearly iridescent green--with screen walls, embroidered pillow cases, a mosquito net, and solar power. And it's impossible to overpraise the Treehouse's staff--mostly made up of one extended family--all welcoming, efficient, and cheerful. What surprised us most (so far from the nearest tiny town!) was the varied and abundant gourmet meals, cooked by a small but sophisticated kitchen crew and eaten in the main (also screen-walled) house at tables where we were joined by our guides. One evening we were surprised by a small pisco sour, another by a glass of wine. All this, truly, in the midst of a primeval landscape with what feels like minimal impact on its astonishing, inspiring purity.

Amazing experience in the jungle out of the touristic track with selva experts !
We enjoyed discovering wild animals with Vidal who made his best to spot them and explain the wildlife thanks to his many years of knowledge of the area.
The accommodations were awesome with real trees in the tree houses and a great dinner hall. Everything went great with the journeys to and back the jungle. Our cook made excellent dishes.
Hence I would highly recommend this tour, the only thing we regret is that we could not stay longer.

I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I had a super time. We definitely went in further to the jungle that any other tour group because in the whole 4 days I saw no other tourists. That alone made it feel special. Then you get to the see the wildlife…it’s not manufactured meetings so you have to be lucky to see, but our guide Vidal had a great eye and spotted many things along the way. It’s a proper family experience and I fully recommend using these guys for a real Amazon experience.

We just spent 4 wonderful days with Vidal at the Tree House Lodge and are already missing it!
Vidal and his family take care of everything from the moment you're picked up in Cusco. The national park is stunning, with such a huge variety of birds and mammals, all living safe and happy in their natural habitats.
You can tell Vidal loves his work and nature, as he spotted everything there was the see and made sure we could see it to!
The lodge is wonderfully comfortable and well equipped, and the food so yum!
We loved dipping in the river after the hot days of nature walks, sunrises and star gazing in the evening.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique nature experience!
