This tour take you to the Magica Town of Tequila, where a full day of activities is prepared for everyone. You can book direct with Mundo Cuervo Jose Cuervo Express for 2995 pesos ($166) vs $275 for the same Trip advisor Viator Jose Cuervo Express as I sat by someone on same trip on Saturday that booked and paid through Trip Advisor/Viator. Please see photos below. The trip is worth $166 USD. Two great shows (one lasted 2 hours and another 30 minutes, toured museum by J Cuervo, the Agave fields and show, band, Tamales for Lunch (3) and Tacos Al Vapo on the train plus all the cocktails and mexican snacks you can handle plus three tequila tastings in a tequila glass on the train as well..Blancco, Reposado and Cristollino and they will pour as much as you can take.

Not the experience it used to be. Too many tours with too many people being crammed through the experience, with too much waiting around for “our turn”, with too little tequila to make it worthwhile. No longer have tasting of tequilas throughout distilling process, no tasting of special reserve anywhere (not in the cellar or on the train, as we were promised several times). Very disappointing.

Beautiful experience that is worth living if you visit Guadalajara.
We opted for the diamond option.
We took the outward excursion by bus and the return trip by train.
Upon arriving at the agave fields they waited for us with a delicious breakfast with tamales and live music.
Arriving in Tequila we visited the La Riojeña factory and the cultural center, all very interesting.
Then they give two hours to have lunch in the Town.
After a mariachi show and Mexican dances.
When finished, you return on the train, where you have a tequila tasting.
The seats are very comfortable and the inside of the train is beautiful.
Our guide was Cecilia, very friendly and with excellent attention.
I recommend the day trip to Tequila, good atmosphere.
We took some incredible photos as souvenirs.

We had a great day on this tour. We took the afternoon experience, which means going to Tequila by bus and returning by train. The check-in experience was a bit slow, but at least there were coffee and pastries while you waited. The bus ride was ok, the breakfast, shows and guided tours were very good. There's open bar basically the whole day which is good. The experience as a whole is very cool and I'd recommend everyone to try it out, even at the price

We were very impressed with the efficiency and attention to detail that this tour provided! Everything from beginning to end was organized and on time. Our tour guide Lupita, was very attentive and satisfied every thing we needed. We learned a lot of facts about tequila and got to taste many different kinds. The town of Tequila is very nice and I wish we had a little more time to explore it. My suggestion to others is to visit in the cooler months, it was extremely warm in June. The train ride was fun and we were provided with a few drinks. The only food provided was chips and different types of salsa. They were delicious but we were pretty hungry by then. We were supposed to play a bingo game but that didn’t happen. Also it was extremely warm and the AC wasn’t working. I think they spent too much time with “educating “ us how to drink tequila which would have been interesting if we hadn’t already been educated earlier that day. But overall a great experience and we recommend it to anyone who loves tequila!

I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into with this awesome day trip! We were in Guadalajara with a group for a friend's birthday weekend celebration and this was the highlight of the trip! Yes 11 hrs. can feel like a big commitment, but the tour has been designed to give you a great mix of adventure, culture, nature, and TEQUILIA!
We did the train in the morning which I believe was a good choice to see the beautiful landscape on the way to Tequila. Upon arrival in town we had a nice orientation that lead us to our tour guide of the distillery. Most of our group were English speakers so we had a great English speaking guide. If there was one complaint the groups are close together so sometimes it was hard to hear our guide if there were loud guides nearby talking to their groups.
After the tour we had a break for lunch and got to walk around town. Then we returned to the main theater for a fun musical show! It was fantastic and the performers/musicians were very talented.
Then we got on a bus and feeling a bit tired our new guide walked around and gave us all bottles of water! It was a nice calm drive to the fields to see the agave plants, which was a big surprise! We didn't expect that to be so fun, dancing and good food/drinks was involved! It was so magical to be there at sunset.
In the end we got back on the bus with plenty of tequila for everyone and an hour ride back to Guadalajara. Overall this trip was very well planned and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun, see Tequila, and do it the way it was intended to experience! And if you're not a big drinker don't worry, there is so much to see and do that you will still have fun!

The Tequila train was a wonderful experience. We took the bus up and the train back. Everything went smoothly and the staff and guides were very good. You come away with a whole new perspective on tequilas. It is a must experience
