Both have extensive reef systems, are easy to snorkel, and host a ton of different, colorful fish. Your captain will choose the best location for that day’s ocean. Swimming in Molokini Crater is one of the best experiences of a lifetime. The visibility can reach up to 150 feet! Coral Gardens is another thrilling site full of diverse marine life. We rebooked from Tuesday to Thursday due to wind. We were looking forward to snorkeling at Molokini a few friends had recommended it prior to our trip. Wind was still a factor and by the time we got out to the crater the waves were rough. We were the only boat there. We snorkeled for about 30-45 mins not much fish, hard to snorkel due to the swells and was told to come back in. The crew was great and tried everything to keep up our spirits up but it was rough seas and unpleasant. I think the tour should have been called off due to wind. We did spend a good amount of money and felt that it was definitely not worth it.

The water was rough but the views and crew were top of the line. The crew was awesome and patient with those that were first timers. They took time to explain what to do and expect.

Amazing experience!! We were the ONLY boat in Molokini that afternoon and it was once in a lifetime! Captain and crew was top tier!! Photo girl was a bit pushy. Otherwise WONDERFUL experience!! Please go, you will NOT regret!!

The morning booking time was wrong so went on this one after making sure they still go to the crater even with wind and was told yes. Got bad direction to where the boat was docked and walked to the wrong pier. Got on the boat told not going to the crater. The captain was rude. Could have gone to this snorkel spot from shore/driving.

We went on the afternoon snorkel. The water was pretty rough so we had to go to a different location. Still beautiful and looks of ocean life to be seen. Crew was friendly and fun.

Went to Molokini, the captain made it sound like a rarity for an afternoon trip. We heard that the morning trip went to both Molokini and Coral Gardens (where they saw many sea turtles). Maybe the morning trip costs more, not sure. Overall the snorkeling was great, spent about hour in the water. The crew was very friendly, felt very safe. Was somewhat disappointed in the food, we knew it was hot dogs and chips but it seemed unorganized, only option for non-alcoholic drink was water. Photographer took pics on dock, boat and in water with an option to purchase.

Spot. We saw many fish and turtles. The crew was super friendly. The boat was very clean and well taken care of. 3$ mai tais were top notch.
