Going to the Louvre was something I’ve been wanting to see and although I learned that we weren’t seeing everything in the entire museum this trip, we saw many things that were powerful and beautiful. It was easy to find the group, we got right in and the guide was very knowledgeable.

A great tour of the Louvre. Our guide (Ramona) provided very interesting and insightful commentary about the history of the Louvre and its art. It is such a large gallery so having a guide to navigate us to the highlights was beneficial.

The line to enter the museum was so long that we got there 10 minutes after our reserved time for the guided tour. Then we were informed that the €12 that we had paid via tripadvisor is not enough and we also need to pay another $24 to enter the museum which had another line. The whole process made us to lose 40 minutes of the guided tour. My advice is to show up an hour before your reserved time on busy days.

This experience was fantastic! The meeting place and guides were easy to find. Our tour guide, Hugo, was very knowledgeable about the Louvre and its history. I would suggest taking a tour as you get much more info than just going yourself. Stopping for lunch on the terrace overlooking the Glass Pyramid was a must. There was a sandwich shop/cafe to order from and you can look for a seat outside. (no waiters, etc.)
The bonus about this tour is that we could continue touring the Louvre on our own after the guided tour.
I would highly recommend.

The Louvre is an amazing experience housing an unbelievable number of masterpieces, the sight of which, one after another after another simply boggles the mind.
If you are able to, then paying the additional amount for skip the line tickets in a small group is definitely worth it. Our guide Hamish was outstanding, both in the way that he delivered all of the historical information and the time that he took for explaining the various works of art that he selected selected for the group to review in detail.
It should be noted that if you are unaware, then the most famous painting ‘Mona Lisa’ is rather underwhelming, which was fortunately as we expected. That said, it is still a must see in one’s lifetime if the opportunity arises.

Waiting for answer on request for partial refund. Worst tour experience. Too slow. I wanted semi private so we could be smaller group and move along. 1.5 hour into it only moved to 3 pieces of art. Couldn’t understand your guide. Not informative and slow paced. Left early to go on own. Tour guide also insisted we come forward and pointed us out as “Chinese” faced like portrait and we are not Chinese. Not a good experience. Would like partial to full refund.

We were disappointed mainly due to the fact that the tour guide could not work out how to accommodate someone who had difficultly negotiating a lot of steps. While lifts are available to use in various locations no thought was given to a paid customer who can walk but challenged with lots of steps. So we missed all the tour and had to wander through without direction and commentary.

Our plane was late and one of our guests fell so we couldn’t make it on time. We tried to reschedule but they only allowed us one choice which wouldn’t work. No refund so we lost $325.
