Very amazing complex, it was really unique compared to the other sites we saw in Italy. Our guide was fantastic and equipped with a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide was an art history major & spent most of the time on the describing the art work in the buildings. I would have preferred to learn more about the buildings & their importance in Venetian history. Overall I think it could be a good tour, but may depend on your tour guide.

the tour guide, Giovanni was very good. However the tour was very rushed with very little time spent on the 2 islands
the Murano trip was basically spent watching a glass blowing example which was good, but by the time theatric round the factory was done there was very little time ti see Murano
The Murano seeing example was a total waste of time, 3 minutes in total watching an old lady just sewing. Then there was just 55 minutes to see the island and get lunch, no where near enough time
I will be recommending to my friends that they book the trips separate from a tour operator near the pier

The most memorable thing about my 1 and only day in Venice, is that we got to our much anticipated tour early, the place was mobbed, I couldn’t find the tour leader, so I messaged them, they would not respond to my multiple request for help. We stood outside the entrance helpless asking if we could go in with our tour tickets to find our tour but the tour guide had our admission tickets so we were stuck outside and I finally left in tears. Our day was ruined. That is why we went 2 hours from Florence and 2 hours back and the whole day was a stressful and expensive disappointment because of our very selfish tour guide. I’ve been on many Viator tours with different companies and people have been late and the tour operator is calling them and has waited sometimes 10 to 15 minutes for them. We were not even late! We were early! We were ready to go in! We just needed them to answer us. Or call us. They had our contact info. But they just don’t care because they already have your money. They are horrible, horrible people. And they said theyre not giving us a refund—- $207 ! Unreal. NEVER use these awful people!!!!

Wonderful tour with Rita/Joy! I highly recommend a guided tour to get the most out of the experience. Rita did a fantastic job ‘setting the scene’ and explaining how these sites were used, how the republic was organized, etc which much made the tour much more enjoyable and tied everything together.

We were not a fan of this tour. The meeting place was very hard to find considering there are many different tour operators.
My ticket itself did not mention the dress code for women (however, after the fact, I found the wording on a different document). We had been standing in the group for 15 min and our guide saw my outfit (a nice floral tank top and shorts) and didn’t mention anything about the dress code until 2 minutes before walking in. She did loan me 2 scarves to use to cover as best as I could.
The kicker is that when our group was all present (who all paid for the basilica and the palace when booking) , we were told 10 of the 20 couldn’t go to the basicila bc tickets were sold out. The guide was rude and said “what do you want me to do? This is the situation”. She kept asking for 10 people to come back at 4:00 for the tour (2 hours later) and did offer a refund. Still, we were in Venice for one day, had other things planned and meeting people. Just an overall bad experience

The tour guide/company were incredible, very informative!!!! Worth your money!! Basilica was beautiful and it was a perfect way to spend the day !

This was an informative tour with a great guide. It was interesting and the Doge's palace was a highlight. My only criticism is that it didn't include the museum at the St. Mark's Basilica which I wanted to see and we had to pay extra for.

The original tour we booked canceled on us last minute and we picked up this one. We could not have been happier. It was organized, informative, small group and the tour guide, Anna, was fantastic. You each get individual head sets so you can always hear the guide no matter where you are. Anna was truly joyful and so passionate about sharing her knowledge. The pace was reasonable and easy. We learned so much on the tour that we would have completely missed if we had just walked through St Marks Basilica and Doges Palace. I read so many reviews and was super stressed about this last minute change - but it couldn’t have gone better. Truly a wonderful tour.

The guide you get always makes or breaks these guided tours. The tour guide we got was very good, gave great information about the palace and was savvy getting ahead and away from other crowds.
