This was great day trip !! Had several stops which we were able to shop and free time . The last stop is Pompeii and than we stopped for food . I would not suggest getting the pizza on the last stop as it was cold . You get an hour in Sorrento go eat at that time . Sofia was the guide and I believe last name was with a G . She was very informative and pleasant

I am sure this review will be deleted by Viator once they see it. Terrible experience- we were at the site well in advance of the meeting time of 8.40 AM. The local operators came about 20 minutes late and told us we were late, and the bus had left. Viator kept the entire $568.44 they charged us for the trip. Very unprofessional, dubious and shady. They give a beautiful country like Italy a bad name but I do not think they will care - they are a business and out of Ireland.

This was such a great day trip from Rome. John B was a wonderful guide - keeping us both entertained and organized. He is a wealth of knowledge and jokes. And he spent the last 30 minutes of our trip home answering any questions we had to make the most of the rest of our journey. Our trip sounds a bit different than other reviews - we were on a bus. Our driver Giovanni managed those narrow streets with incredible skill and calm. The whole trip was flawlessly organized - including pre planned rest stops and the option to order takeaway pizza. It meant not a minute was wasted waiting for food or bathrooms and all of our time could be spent enjoying the sites. Our guide (Willy) in Pompei was funny and charming, while guiding us through the highlights and helping us manage the crowds. Highly recommend this trip, especially if you have limited time that you want to maximize while getting outside of Rome.

This day trip was the perfect way to celebrate our honeymoon in Italy!!! Our guide John Balog & our driver Giovanni were the perfect team with tons of knowledge and experience about the rich history of Rome, Pompeii & the Almafi Coast. The stunning views, in depth accounts of Mt Vesuvius / Pompeii & of course the delicious lemon granita (lemon ice) were something truly memorable.

We enjoyed the tour a lot.
Our guide, John (originally from the US but lives in Rome for almost 20 years) did a great job bringing the culture and the history of not only Pompeii but also Rome and Italy in general to life.
Fun, nice guy which you could easy tell that he loves his job but also the country of Italy.
On top of the usual tour guide informations, he also shared his knowledge of good restaurants and places (in Rome) to stop by, which are not that common to tourists. Even took his time to answer individual questions and have a brief chat at the evening when we where heading back to Rome.
Everything was organized really good from the beginning to the end. Even though the schedule is quite packed with bus driving (roughly 6 hours) it was really enjoyable. We had a appropriate amount of stops in-between and also about 2 hours to spend on our own.
Drinks and food where not included but John gave us multiple recommendations where to get good food for reasonable prices.
Water was available for purchase in the bus for 1€ per 0.5l bottle (2-3€ in the shops/restaurants on the way)
Our bus driver Giovanni was really nice to, also a amazingly calm driver in the hectic traffic and narrow streets. Felt safe in his hands during the whole day.
Definitely worth the price, one of the better tours we had in a while!

John, our tour guide, was amazing. He has a lot of helpful tips for us on our tour and insight on things to do post tour. His knowledge of Pompeii and Italy on general was amazing. We had such a great family trip.

John was an incredible tour guide as we embarked from Rome on an amazing adventure with a small group! We had a blast at Pompeii, and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and made every moment interesting.
They made sure we were taken care of by ordering us pizza after a hot day at Pompeii, and John gave us some great tips as we set off to explore Sorrento.
Such a great day and definitely recommend to families or couples!

Nice Host. Enough time to discover sorrento on you own. Amazing view over the amalfi coast.
Only the AC on the Bus had problems sometimes but you can handle it.

Natasia and Ricardo(Ricco) did an amazing job super nice and informative! Ricardo proved to be a really experience driver with an extra touch of kindness and Natasha was super nice and caring. Trip to Malfi, Sorrento and Pompeii was definitely worth every penny. If you come to Italy this is a must do! The price may seem rather expensive but once you get to have to experience you realize it is actually money well spent. A+++++
