Visit the Karlskirche for a classical concert evening and let yourself be enchanted by this unique approx. 75-minute performance. The Karlskirche was completed in 1737. Four years later, on July 28, 1741, the Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi died in Vienna and was buried just a few meters from there. Experience a unique performance of Vivaldi's acclaimed and revolutionary masterpiece, performed by the Orchestra 1756 on period instruments in this mystical and authentic setting.

Beautiful church, amazing performance.
This is the first time I watched a western classical. I think the Four seasons of Vivaldi was perfect for me.

I had great expectations but finally was disappointed. Brilliant musicians were showing off their skills while the subtle beauty of Vivaldi's masterpiece was lost, which made me displeased. This way, I could not forget about the church seats, which are definitely not for sitting still for 90 mins. - though I imagine can be tolerated better if the performance takes you away...unfortunately this time it did not happen.
However, if you are not going for the authentic music in the first place, it can still be a unique experience, as the church is beautiful.

Wonderful concert with beautiful music! It can be a little hot in the summer so plan accordingly. Highly recommended.

We went to a music event every evening that we were in Vienna, including the Royal Opera House. I have to say that this classical concert was by far the best night we had. The talent of the people performing was simply outstanding. I didn’t want it to end. Probably the best musical event I have ever been to.

Just to hear one of my favorite Vivaldi compositions in Vienna was the best.
Every year at Christmas with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra they play the winter portion of “4 Seasons. Couldn’t believe the 1st violin played everything from memory.

The musicians were second to none! We thoroughly enjoyed it! The cathedral was also breathtaking - 75 minutes covers all four seasons

We are not regular concert goers, but wanted to experience this whilst in Vienna. We are so glad we did and had an excellent time and really enjoyed it. We paid extra to sit in reserved seats near the front and were so glad we did as being so close, added to the occasion. Very well organised on arrival and in the venue. A fantastic historic venue and the talent and professionalism of the musicians was amazing. Not the cheapest of nights out, but we really enjoyed it and in the circumstances, worth it.

The event and venue are very well organized and I enjoyed some elements of the show, but the opera singer's portions were quite boring. My favourite piece was Four Seasons, which the Orchestra played at the very beginning.

The performance was first class and the venue is spectacular. The lead violinist was female which was inspiring and interesting.
