This once in a lifetime experience is a thrilling way to get up close and personal one of Kauai’s most popular natural attractions. Da Life Outdoors brings the magic of Hule'ia River and it's 241 acres of National Wildlife Refuge to visitors and Kama'ainas (residents). Their guides perform volunteer service towards the natural resource restoration for the privilege of sharing it with guests, and a portion of all ticket sales are donated to the Hule'ia National Wildlife Refuge for ongoing conservation efforts.
After a detailed rappel safety lesson, and a practice run on the dry wall, you will be guided into the waterfalls. The first waterfall rappel is done at the 30’ Bamboo Falls, and then followed by the towering 60’ Papakolea Falls. Your tour ends with a snack overlooking the Hule'ia Watershed and Ha'upu Mountain range. The photos you could take on this adventure will leave your friends at work SPEECHLESS! Kate and Nan were amazing! They were so patient with us while we were learning and really understanding of our fears. I loved the experience and it was so unique. I'm so glad I was able to do this because I will probably never have the opportunity to do this again. The guides made it such a fun experience. They talked to us about island history on the hike to the falls and were very personable!!!

Nan and Mitch were AWESOME! They were very thorough on their technique and safety while focusing on fun and the experience. Our entire group had a blast and were talking about the rappelling for days. Highly recommend it.

The rappell was a wonderful thrill. Matt and Nan did a great job of coaching and encouraging us. We had a practice run on a small dry hill before heading out to the two waterfalls. We were lucky and time allowed everyone to get a second shot at the larger of the two waterfalls. This is suitable for both first timers and those with some experience.

We had a great day! Felt very safe and the training was good. Hardest part was the hiking uphill in mud. Water was refreshing. They showed great patience with my daughter and encouraged everyone. We would do it again.

I did the waterfall rappelling tour with Matt and Kate and they went out of their way to make sure everyone felt safe and comfortable with the activity. If you are looking for something that's unusual and active on Kauai and have a good sense of adventure, this is a great choice. Communications from the company were prompt and included a lot of useful info.

Amazing Adventure! Nan & Matt were very knowledgeable and patient and always encouraging throughout the entire experience They turned something that can be a little intimidating into something incredible. They are wonderful coaches and guides and we felt comfortable with their instructions. We highly recommend doing this!

This tour was incredible!! The guides were so much fun and knowledgeable and made me feel right at home. My 17yr old son and I had the best experience while learning a new skill! I would love to do it again!
