At a tiny storefront managed by a passionate young baker from northern Spain, you’ll learn why good bread in Madrid can be surprisingly hard to come by—and taste for yourself why this spot is the exception, in the form of their delicious homemade chorizo-stuffed rolls.

Your next stop is located in Madrid’s picturesque historic center. A favorite among locals, this spot is infamously hard to reserve—but luckily, your spot is already guaranteed! Here you’ll try freshly fried croquettes—a staple of tapas bar menus across Spain—and wash it down with an ice-cold beer while learning all about tapas culture.

The only thing you should eat around Plaza Mayor is your next bite: a calamari sandwich. You can find it almost anywhere in the surrounding area, but today you're trying the best one around, with calamari rings cooked to perfection in light, crunchy batter. Enjoy it standing outside the bar, just like the locals do.

Finally, you’ll finish your Madrid morning food tour on a sweet note at a pastry shop that’s been going strong since 1855. Opened by the Spanish queen’s own personal pastry chef, this incredible spot is seemingly hidden in plain sight. Our family enjoyed the devour food tour in Madrid where we learned about the culture of this amazing city and along the way ate tasty foods and learned how to order like a local. Our guide Arantxa taught us about Madrid’s rich culture and guided us through Spain’s wonderful cuisine. We highly recommend this tour and hope you are fortunate to have Arantxa as your knowledgeable and energetic guide!

Dani was a knowledgeable and engaging guide through Madrid’s most delicious local dining fair. A seasoned chef, his insider knowledge was especially wonderful. This tour is so worth your time. There is no way you could enjoy all these establishments (10!)without the help from the guide making the arrangements and having the food ready when you arrive. The pace of the tour is great. You walk but also rest a little . You sample a lot but are not uncomfortable at the end. So glad we got to learn the city in this way!

We did this tour with Arantxa a few days ago and it was great! She taught us a lot about how locals do things and showed us around a very cool part of Madrid. Our only regret is that we didn't do the tour on our first day there!
Arantxa was very knowledgeable, answering all of our questions and she made the tour very fun.
She even gave us tips on where to eat in cities we were going after Madrid. 5 stars!

This tour is a must-do if you want to experience Madrid's culture and history through its food! Our guide José was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and had great stories. We tasted so many delicious bites and we really appreciated that the tour supported a lot of small local businesses.

This food tour exceeded my expectations, mainly because of our guide, Flo. She is absolutely hilarious. I could not stop laughing. She is an all of energy that is absolutely contagious. Not only that, she is very knowledgeable of the foods and vendors. Speaking of foods, absolutely delicious. We made 10 stops. After the 3rd drip, I didn’t know if I could eat anymore but I did of course. The walking wasn’t too difficult but do wear comfy shoes. Highly recommend this experience and company.

This is a must do in Madrid. Our tour guide Arantxa was so knowledgeable and a chef herself. She answered all our questions and was great with the kids. We tried new foods and learned about the history of the city. We even went to the Monastery of Corpus Christi. Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide!
