We loved our tour of Yanmingshan with James. We chose a very early pick up time and did not regret it as we had so many of the locations to ourselves for the bulk of our tour. James was very patient with us wanting to walk slowly and told us a great deal of the cultural history of Taiwan in between the stops we had. When we got to the sulfur crater, we had it mostly to ourselves! Due to the recent earthquake, we were unable to see the Suspension Bridge, but James substituted a milk pond and a quick detour to see the water buffalo grazing before taking us down to Yehliu Geopark to end our day checking out the lava trails and volcanic rock formations.

Vincent was such an accommodating and patient guide - we expressed interest in a hike and we took us on a very strenuous hike to the highest peak of Yangmingshan followed by visits to other main beautiful places within the park.

We had to arrange pickup from residential area in New Taipei City and this was easily arranged, with additional fee of NTD 600, which was not an issue for us since we stayed quite far from Taipei city. Our tour guide, Vincent Chen, was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. The car was very clean, and we each were given a bottle of mineral water. He also knows the nice spots to take pictures. Overall, very nice experience. Excellent service.

Nicolas Ying was so impressive. As we headed to the park he gave a interesting history notepad presentation about Taiwan. His driving was effortless and safe. One of persons could not do stairs well and he accommodated this in all our sights to see. The person did not feel left out of the experience at all!
