1. Prasna brana
Powder Gate Tower (Prašná brána) is the monumental entrance by which the coronation processions of Czech kings entered the Old Town is one of the most significant monuments of Late Gothic Prague. Completed in 1475, the Powder Gate Tower, which formerly served as a gunpowder store, is still the starting point for the Coronation or Royal Route to Prague Castle. New Mill Water Tower (Novomlýnská vodárenská věž) was built in the Baroque style in 1658 on what remained of the original Renaissance tower, destroyed by a flood in 1655. It supplied water to the lower New Town of Prague and served its original purpose until 1877. The Tower has undergone a complete renovation, and now houses an exhibition about Prague's fires in the past and a history of Prague's fire-fighters. The extensive campus Clementinum (Klementinum) is one of the largest building complexes in Europe and was originally built as a Jesuit college. As part of the sightseeing route, it is possible to look into the hall of the Baroque Library, which is often described as the most beautiful in the world. It was completed in 1727, and its still open collection includes over 27,000 volumes of mostly foreign-language theological literature. The next stop on the route is the Meridian Hall, where there are original astronomical instruments used to determine noon. The tour ends with the Astronomical Tower, which with its height of 68 meters guarantees an unforgettable view of the center of Prague and Prague Castle. 4. Old Town Bridge Tower
The Old Town Bridge Tower (Staroměstská mostecká věž) is one of the most beautiful Gothic gateways in the world. The tower, along with the Charles Bridge, was built by Emperor Charles IV according to designs by Petr Parléř in the mid-14 th century. The gate to the Old Town was also conceived as a symbolic victory arch through which Czech kings passed on their coronation processions. For an unforgettable view, visitors must climb 138 steps to the viewing gallery. 5. The Lesser Town Bridge Tower
Lesser Town Bridge Towers (Malostranské mostecké věže) are characterised by rare Gothic architecture and dates from the 15th Century. The tower originally served a defensive function, but today it is open to the public, including the gallery at a height of 26 metres. It offers beautiful views of the Vltava River and the historic centre of Prague. St Nicholas Bell Tower (Svatomikulášská městská zvonice) is immediately adjacent to the church of the same name and was built in Baroque style in the 18th Century. The bell served as a fire alarm. The observation deck is located at a height of 65 metres and is thus one of the highest in Prague. In 1891, the last town crier, whose function was to ring the bell in case of fire and to show the direction of the fire from the window with a red ribbon (or a lantern at night), moved out. Afterwards, it was occupied by painter Jan Vochoč. From the beginning of the 1950s until the fall of the communist regime, the State Security Agency maintained a observation post in the tower from which they chiefly monitored movements at the embassies of Western countries. 7. National Theater
The National Theatre (Národní divadlo) is the Czech Republic's representative stage, built with funds from a nationwide collection and first opened in 1881, and for the second time in 1883 after a devastating fire. The spectacular exterior and interior decoration, richly embellished with gold, consists of masterpieces of 19th century Czech painters - Aleš, Ženišek, Hynais, Myslbek, and others. Church of Our Lady Victorious (Kostel Panny Marie Vítězné) is an early Baroque building, dating back to 1611. The church was rebuilt from 1634 to 1669 by the Carmelite order. It is famous for its statuette of the Infant Jesus of Prague, originally from Spain and donated to the Carmelites by Polyxena of Lobkowicz in 1628. The Infant Jesus has two crowns and about forty-six robes. His vestments are traditionally changed about ten times a year according to the liturgical season. A small museum was built for the clothing and other religious objects. Nearest tram stop is Hellichova.
9. Strahovsky Klaster
Strahov Monastery (Strahovský klášter) - this Premonstratensian monastery was founded in 1140. In the complex there is the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the rare Strahov Library with a number of medieval manuscripts, maps and globes, the Baroque Theological Hall, the Classical Philosophy Hall decorated with frescoes, and the Strahov Gallery, one of the most significant Central European collections of Gothic painting, Rudolfian art, and Baroque and Rococo paintings. Nearest tram stop is Pohořelec.

Petřín Funicular (Lanová dráha na Petřín) runs along the route Újezd – Nebozízek – Petřín and links to tram lines at the Újezd stop. At the very top it crosses over the Hunger Wall. The two-carriage funicular reaches a height of more than 130 m on a 510 m long track. The funicular was originally water-powered when it began operating in 1891; it was electrified in 1932. Due to extensive landslides, operation of the funicular was suspended in 1965 for 20 years. Nearest tram stop is Újezd.
11. Prague Castle
The Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) is the largest castle complex not only in the Czech Republic, but anywhere in the world, forms part of Prague’s distinctive skyline. Stroll through the castle courtyards, see the Old Royal Palace, explore the Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslas and Adalbert, visit Saint George’s Basilica, and wander down the picturesque Golden Lane. We also recommend a meander through the Royal Garden, where, besides its numerous enchanting nooks and crannies, you will come across Renaissance gems – the Ball Games Hall and Queen Anne’s Summer Palace, also known as Belveder. Founded in the 9th century, Prague Castle became the seat of Bohemian kings and then Czech presidents and has been a symbol of the Czech state for more than a thousand years. The ride on the historic tram was very pleasant. The staff on board were very nice and helpful. I found all the important attractions around the route in the online guide I received from the staff. I enjoyed the whole ride and seeing the beauty of the city. I definitely recommend this experience.

Never got to experience it as the directions given to the meeting point only brought us to shop front which had no indication it had anything to do with the tour.

The timetable is unclear, as only departure times in one direction are given. The app as an audio guide didn't work properly either. After waiting 15 minutes past the actual departure time at a stop, we bought normal tickets and continued on with line 22. In short, creating your own tour plan with sights and using public transport with a day ticket saves a lot of money.

The tram runs through Prague and allows you to reach many locations with a total journey time of 45 minutes. You can buy the ticket directly on the tram. Unfortunately we were not informed either on the tram or from the information office that it is possible to use an app to listen to the description of the various places... (Too bad!)
The tram also has a terminus where it stopped for a good 30 minutes and we had to get off and stand outside to wait. A few minutes before the previous stop (Strahov Monastery) the staff informed us of the stop and suggested we visit the monastery since there are no bars at the terminus but we had already seen it and thought we could stay and rest on the tram... But Unfortunately it wasn't possible!

This was such a fun trip… I absolutely loved it! The driver & conductors were really friendly, good fun and very helpful. There is an audio guide you can scan & download onto your phone which was really informative about the stops on the route… you need to use your own ear buds so take them with you. A great way to see Prague & to get a feel for the City in a fun way. Highly recommend!

The tram ride was a cool experience and a very helpful mode of initial sightseeing of Prague on a cold and rainy day. A ride takes one back a 100 years or or half a century, depending on the tram model. After wandering around Republic square where the tram should stop, I figured it should be at a regular tram stop and it stopped opposite the shopping mall. I got an explanation about the route by an employee who was very friendly and recommended where to change to return to the city center.

Really convenient if you are staying in the Old Town or nearby. On the weekends it runs every 40 minutes during the middle of the day (in Winter) and stops near many ofthe key sites that you want to visit. Easy to access and cheap - but there is no commentary (apparently there is an App that supplies this but we didn't use it). Easy and cheap (around $15USD for 24 hours unlimited use). On a very snowy weekend it was a great way to get around and take in Prague.

Lovely way to see Prague and some historical trams. It’s a must for rail buffs and people who enjoy seeing the most important spots in an east way. When you go make sure to bring headphones with you as they provide an audio guide for your phone. If you don’t they also have amazing staff that will explain anything and everything about the city and the tram. On our tour Martin was absolutely wonderful. He speaks a ton of languages and was very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. My only complaint is that they run three trams, one of which isn’t much older than the rolling stock found regular lines. The other trams (the one you see in all the pictures) is beautiful though. I recommend line 42 to everyone and line 41 to those with some extra time on their hands. Being able to get on and off whenever for the entire day is also amazing.

Tip: This ticket will give you 20% off at any tower (including the Petrin tower)

Excellent service. It's really easy to use, although it did get busier throughout the day, so not everyone got a seat. The stops were near all the main attractions.
