Our guide was super knowledgeable and kept the group engaged. Excellent flow of the sights. She made sure to stop to refill waters and use the restrooms. Loved all the tidbits of stories and excellent historical enlightenment!

We had a great experience and our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about history which made our tour a 10/10. Tip: bring reusable bottle to fill up whilst touring. There are plenty of water fountains.

Laura antonucci was the best guide ever. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for Rome's history made me appreciate everything 10x more. I wish to be her friend and join her as she explains every little detail, from stories of gladiators, history of renovations and even fun facts about sea gulls.
Laura made this trip to Rome unforgettable for me.

Well I wish I could tell you something memorable about this tour but less than 24 hours before we were scheduled we were told that the time had to be changed to earlier. We were not able to make that time. They did not offer an alternate time until even later that same night and by the time we saw the message and responded they said they’d already sold those slots. While Viator did refund us, we were still very disappointed in how this was handled by the tour guides.

The tour guide, Diego, was excellent. The tour operator, however is not. The evening before, they delayed the time of the tour by 2 hours. My wife could no longer make the event as she had a meeting she’d now be late for. I took my 2 daughters instead. When I told the tour operator on check in, I was handed a ticket for my wife and told she could use it alone the next day. How ridiculous is that! When I asked TripAdvisor for a refund of just my wife’s ticket, they told me no even though it was clearly the tour’s fault with notice less than 24 hours. Unless you have a loose itinerary, I would be wary to take this tour

We had Andreta as a guide who was enthralling the entire time. I wasn't sure we needed a guided tour but I'm very happy we did as I think it provided context to how the ruins would've looked in their time that would have been a lot harder to appreciate by reading it or listening to a recorded audio. Also, she gave us a lot of sociological context and the info about the influence on the Roman Empire on today which I found fascinating.
Unfortunately our 'skip the line' tickets to the Colloseum still had a long line. Our guide explained that this has been happening more frequently recently with the new Colliseum operator. Even so, she kept us entertained with an abundance of information on it while we were waiting which built up the excitement for me.
No issues with the Forum line.
Take a large hat and a big bottle of water in case you get stuck in the Colloseum line in the sun. There are plenty of places to refill your water bottle during the tour and reasonable amounts of shade throughout most of the Forum.
