Maui’s Most Extreme Troupe of Fire-Knife Dancers!
Staged outdoors amidst a scenic oceanfront setting alongside Kaanapali Beach, this intriguing luau performance and dinner show is held on-site at our resort and showcases stories of demi-god Maui, ancient Hawaiian kahiko with traditional costumes and Hawaiian awana with a grander spectrum, leading up to the island’s most extreme fire knife dance finale.

The food was good and plentiful, and the show was excellent, especially the fire dancers! The host was an excellent storyteller and held the audience attention well. The singers were entertaining and sang beautifully. The only complaint we have was our entire table missed out on dessert because nobody told us when or where it was available. When we discovered we missed out, the staff had already put the food away and the show was over.

Overall, very good experience. The service was excellent, the food even better. We had our 10 and 8 year old grandkids with us and they had a great spread for kids. The food was the best I've had at a Laua, drinks were good to. Where it falls short is the show. Very short compared to others we've been too. Very few Island nations represented, the fire show was good, but short.
For the amount of money for this Laua, I was expecting more.
No dancers to pose with before or after the show. When show finished, that was it.

We were very pleasantly surprised because we had heard some mixed reviews, but the food was all very good. All six of us enjoyed it and the show was spectacular. My only complaint is that we did not get an official luau picture because the photographer stopped taking pictures and didn’t get all the guests. We were not the only ones, this may not matter to some people, but I love pictures so I was disappointed. We took our own picture though and it turned out great.

I thought that the show and food was decent. The show was actually very good once it finally started. The music was great and the host kept the pace moving. The desserts were good. We stayed at the Westin Nanea Villas and I would recommend the villa shuttle for both drop off and return to the villas. We were able to catch the last shuttle back after the luau. For almost $300 per person, I would only do this once in my life. I don’t think it was a great value but happy to see it once.

This was a great way to start off our honeymoon trip. Laid back, but pleasurable time. Beautiful Hawaiian handwork was available for purchase. And, it was nice to get a quick hula tutorial.

Most of the luaus I've attended are large events with tons of people. This one was much smaller and more intimate which was nice. The food was better than any I've tried. What stood out to me was the children's buffet. They had a room exclusively for Keiki (children) with kids' plates, utensils, and food. It was displayed on low tables, easy to reach and serve by themselves. It was adorable. If you are traveling with kids under 9, and want to attend a luau, go to this one. They advertise it from 5:30 - 8:30, but the first 45 minutes or so was free time to shop from the various vendors set up. It wrapped up at 8:10, so not a late night, or long night for little ones.

Excellent experience, amazing food, awesome service! The show was great too!! Our server, Noel, was top notch, super friendly, and exceeded our expectations. All attendees received Lei's too, not just the VIP section. Definitely recommend 🤙

I would like to lodge a complaint regarding the photo service at the Luau on Sunday, May 12, 2024. It seems that the photographers intentionally overcharged customers. If caught, they might dismiss it as a simple mistake. In my case, the printed photos were priced at $30, and digital copies at $60. I opted for the digital copy for $60, but was charged $250 instead. It was difficult to detect the overcharge during the event. Upon realization, they initially refunded only $60, and it took further complaint before I received the remaining amount. I was deeply upset by this experience, as it detracted from my enjoyment of the show. Are the photographers affiliated with the Westin? I am certain that I am not the only person who has fallen into this trap, which tarnishes the otherwise joyful spirit of vacationing. I strongly believe that the Westin should sever ties with these individuals.

This was our first Luau so we do not have anything to compare it to but we loved it. It was a beautiful setting, the food was amazing, the Lei’s were beautiful. The bar was very easy to get a drink whenever you wanted one. They have plenty of drinks to choose from or that they could make you. Service was good, they always removed our empties so we never had a table full of empty cups and plates. The photos they take that you can purchase are very nice, you get printed copies and they send you the digital version so you can save them to your camera roll. The show itself was absolutely beautiful, the fire finale was the icing on the cake.
