We will make a Japanese home-cooked meal together. (Partial demonstration) We use ingredients and seasonings that can be easily made at home.
You can also choose from a menu of specialty dishes unique to Osaka.
menu:
1. Ginger grilled pork, rice balls, miso soup and Japanese rolled omelette
2. Takoyaki
3. Kushikatsu and rice balls
4. Japanese lunch box
We will also give advice on how to shop at Japanese supermarkets.
We don't serve vegetarian or vegan. Please contact us regarding food allergies.
You can experience making kimonos and obis using materials (silk) and techniques passed down from ancient times in Japan. In particular, you can experience a gorgeous bridal dress that is rarely seen even by Japanese people.
For men, you can experience wearing the first formal kimono and hakama.
You can't go out wearing it, but you can enjoy taking pictures (with your own camera, etc.) in the Japanese-style corner in the room.

This was a truly beautiful experience! We got over 200 photos from our hosts as well as the recipes. Kodak’s and Naoka were very knowledgeable about the Kimino history and expert in helping us to get dressed. They even added flowers to our hair :)
Highly recommended to anyone visiting Osaka

We experienced an authentic cooking session. The experience with the two hostesses was great. We were introduced to Japanese cooking in a friendly and open-minded way.

Had a great time making a bento box from scratch. Naoko and Hisako had clearly written out instructions in English that were easy to understand, and had us join in to make each part so we could learn better

What a wonderful experience! We learned how to make a delicious japanese meal (grilled pork, onigiri, miso soup, and omelette), enjoyed learning about the tea ceremony, and had a great time being dressed in the kimono! Our two hosts were extremely friendly and kind - will come back for sure next time we're in Osaka! Arigatou Gozaimasu!

We went to Naoko and Hisako Japanese cooking class as part of my partners birthday surprise. We come from Australia and having my partner being half Japanese we do a lot of Japanese cooking at home and this was the only booking that offered everyday Japanese food which was perfect for us because we could take the skills back home! It was quick, efficient and easy! I loved every minute of it. Thank you so much to both!
