Mak was our driver. He was on time and alliowed us to customized our tour. When the restaurant we wanted for lunch was closed, he recommended another one near the location. Efficient and good guidance on what to do at each spot and then let us roam but was around in case we needed him. A great combination of freedom and someone there in case we needed help. Well worth it to save time instead of taking the train. We were lucky to catch some amazing views of the Fuji Mountain.

Being near the majestic Mt Fuji at 5th station was an awesome experience and lunch in a family-run restaurant at Lake Kawaguchiko was authentic. Our guide Mr Tajamal (Ali) was patient, humorous, polite and informative. He is an excellent driver too!

We had an outstanding day with Ali! The trip to Lake Kawaguchiko provided us with several wonderful views of Mt. Fuji--we were lucky enough to have a really clear Fall day for our trip. Ali took us to an old village, as well as several vantage points around the lake area. And he kindly accommodated my interest in seeing the Itchiku Kobata Art Museum--a fantastic garden, buildings and incredible collection of spectacular kimonos. Ali was knowledgeable and warm, and we learned a lot from him about Japanese life and culture, given his shared experiences. A real highlight for our visit to Tokyo!
