Alberto was wonderful. He exceeded our expectations despite of the rain. One of the best tour guides we had in Europe. He has a lot of knowledge and he is very kind. He has great recommendations.

From the moment we got on the lovely boat to the moment we said farewell we couldn’t be more welcomed. Alberto was the perfect host and provided many valuable insights into his beautiful city from the perfect vantage point of the River Douro. We would recommend this excursion 100%. Much better and more personal than the big tour boats. Don’t even think about it, this guy deserves support and success and his professionalism and charm were the perfect combination. Thank you Alberto (and sorry I forgot the second guys name).

Arrendamos o barco 🛥️ para ver os fogos de São João no Porto e o Alberto juntamente com senhor que faz parte da equipa do barco foram imensamente atenciosos e solícitos fazendo da experiência um momento super agradável e acolhedor. Havia degustação de vinhos típicos do Porto, tábua de frios e música ao nosso gosto. Além das mantas quentinhas o barco é organizado e limpo para tornar todo o passeio agradável! Adoramos! Nota 10 🎇

I would definitely recommend that you book a river tour with Opo Boat Tours. We had an amazing time on our trip! Alberto was very warm and very knowledgeable about the history of the bridges and about Porto. After the tour, he sent us a detailed list of additional recommendations for bars and restaurants in the area. Even though it was cloudy when we took our tour so we didn’t have a perfect sunset, the tour was well worth it. It was laid back and comfortable and the we were served a few drinks with snacks. Definitely would recommend!

It was such a splendid and relaxing tour down the Duoro river. Alberto, our guide, was so amazing and knowledgeable about the different parts of Porto and Gaia. Camilo also made us an amazing cheese platter and drinks! We all had an amazing time and the weather was beautiful.

My Husband and I wanted to take a boat tour down the Douro on pretty short notice but we really didn't want to do one of the more touristy experiences on the larger boats that dock right off of Porto and Gaia. One quick search on Viator and two hours later we were on Alberto of OPO Tours lovely boat! He was incredibly accommodating and a very gracious host. We enjoyed a two hour tour down the river with wine and snacks and some history lessons along the way. Our tour wasn't private, we shared it with two friends that were traveling through the country and were lovely. You'll get the boat at the marina in Afurada which will allow you to explore this adorable finishing village and I highly recommend you come here for lunch or dinner. Alberto will have great recommendations for you, we went to the dinner spot he suggested in Afurada and had a great meal. This experience was 1000% worth it and I can't recommend it enough!

I had a wonderful sunset cruise on the beautiful Douro River at Porto. Alberto was an excellent and friendly cruise rider. He rode his boat skilfully and explained the spots- of-interest along the coast in enthusiasm and in fluent English. He was also a very good photographer who took very nice pics for us while we were cruising. Knowing that this is his new cruising company, I think we should give him much support and encouragement for this promising entrepreneur. I must say that that Alberto's assistant who made the lime water and wine himself and served us onboard were exceptionally fine and tasty.
