SF: Alcatraz Entry & Ferry plus 2-Day Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Great value and a must if you in San Francisco easy to use and Alcatraz tour was well organised best to do the full bus trip to start as it gives you an idea of the different areas in the city and the drivers were very helpful

A great way to see San Francisco. I did a complete circle initially, when returning to the start . There was a lot of confusion about people who wanted to go around again (this time stopping). I therefore walked to a further stop to board again. Not great.

Good way to see San Francisco. Wrap up as it is chilly on the bus as it is a windy city!!! Bought tickets before leaving home so in our Apple Wallets. However …. needed quite a few bits of paper - 2 to get the ferry to Alcatraz and another 2 for the walking tour of Chinatown where we had Doug, who was a very good guide. Suggestion - make sure the tickets on our phones cover everything!

Great service, very flexible great tour, fantastic sights, take plenty of layers of clothing, can be hot and very cold changing very quickly.

Really enjoyed the tour of Alcatraz. The hop on hop off tour was nothing special. Would rather have a live tour guide rather than the recorded audio tour.

Only way to go. We will use a big bus in every city available. Even our home city. Commentary was very informative. Drivers friendly and helpful.

The check in is easy, you get clear directions to the boat and the bus tour goes almost everywhere you could want to go. The only place it doesn't go is to the dragon gate in Chinatown. My only complaint would be some of the operators on the street are rude. The lady at Union Square treated me like I was stupid and I didn't appreciate that at all. Overall a great experience.

This was a great way to see the whole city if you’re tight on time like us. The bus takes you to all the main areas of interest and the drivers are courteous and helpful. The Alcatraz tour was awesome and a very slick operation if you get a chance to give some time to one of the rangers please take a short walking tour with them. We walked with a guy called Benny who gave a great talk on prisoners of conscience incarcerated on the rock. All in all a value for money excursion in what can be a very expensive town👍

One of the best hop on hop off bus tours we have been on. San Francisco is a beautiful city and the bus tour does it justice. Great experiance

Overall I enjoyed the Big Bus Tour and the anecdotes and overview it gave us of San Francisco. I recommend this way of familiarising yourself with a new city but here’s a fair warning to fellow travellers. Being fog whipped on the top deck as we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge was a shock and we retreated below deck for the return run. Take an extra layer or 3. The weather changes dramatically. I’m glad that we included Alcatraz in our itinerary. So much history there. We caught the accessible trolley up the hill due to shonky knees and tired feet. Thank you.
The drivers were welcoming and friendly. Rafael made a big impression with his friendly “larger than life” personality.
Also included in our ticket was Joseph’s walking tour of China Town. What a wonderful storyteller. His presentation was excellent and memorable.
