Big Bus Tours – Bought the 24-hour ticket. We did the Downtown Red Loop and completed the whole loop in one go to get our bearings of New York and to see some things we wouldn’t have in the short 2 days we were visiting. They have a Blue Loop too for Uptown which we didn’t complete. The narrative on board was interesting and informative so worth popping the headphones in for it. The full loop took about 1.5 hours with traffic dependent. It was nice to see everything, and top deck is the place to be to take photos on the move.

The audio was very low in volume, our 1 had bus no air conditioning, and windows could not be opened. Drivers were nice. One driver Santana was a excellent guide and shared history and suggestions for touring

The narration was minimal, just loud music. I would NOT recommend to anyone! Driver was rude. Overcrowded.

Did not actually go directly by many of the sites. Some stops were skipped by the driver. If you've never been to NYC it would be a beneficial tour.

It was ok. Got to see a lot of areas pretty quickly. Would like to have had more history information and less music.

This bus is terrible. There was no guides when listening on the headphones they were playing music. There are so much to learn about in NYC this company is not the way to go. The one person i spoke to when checking in was rude.

The bus has many stops at points of interest. However, the map provided gives almost no information about points of interest accessible from each site. There is recorded narration, but the sound quality was very poor and the narration often lagged behind the bus location. Not all stops were announced, so it was hard to know when we wanted to get off. At one site, we had to wait in the sun 40 minutes for the next bus to arrive, even though we were told there would be a bus every 15 minutes. We finally gave up in the afternoon and used U er to get where we wanted to go. Very poor experience-do not recommend.

There was a wait of nearly an hour to get the first bus - don’t start at stop#1 in the morning. He commentary was very poor and uninformative. There is just too much traffic in NYC.

Bus ride was good - company very disorganized. Brochure given to me by employee says pick-up at Knickerbocker Hotel. Bus drove right by and stopped 1.5 blocks later. Apparently, “route has changed”. Although you can get on anywhere, everyone forced to get off at “last stop”, even if you just boarded. Then you walk a couple of blocks to get on THE SAME BUS. App shows where buses are, but buses regularly go offline or switch from uptown to downtown routes. 45 minutes between uptown buses at one points. The route is great for sites — please get organized people.

I would not suggest this ticket. We did the downtown loop because we felt that everything we wanted to see in the uptown loop was in walking distance. Turns out most of the stuff in the downtown loop was walkable and anything that wasn't, it wouldve been more efficient to just take a subway there instead. We took the bus between two stops just because we had the ticket but still had to walk a bunch to get to our ultimate destination. The bus was packed, people were standing, there wasn't any AC so everyone was dripping. They have some tint covers over the windows which probably helped with the temp but made it feel more cramped than it was. The cord for the audio portion plugged in at the ceiling so there was this cord just dangling in front of my face. One ear bud didn't even work. I was listening to crappy music more than actual guide information. The information that they did share wasn't that exciting. Maybe we weren't in a great part of the tour. The driver (and various drivers that were hopping on/off) weren't overly friendly either. There were a few spots (Whitehall Station in particular) wasn't even on the route but the bus drove within a few blocks of it without stopping. Then another two other stops were like 1-2 blocks away from each other. Bright side: I needed to communicate with customer service for a change in our ticket prior to our visit and they were helpful and friendly.
