See thousands of aquatic animals, from sharks to penguins, at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium. As you explore the aquarium’s 15 zones, learn about the different types of fish and other marine life that can be found in the tropical and sub-Antarctic waters of Australia. Feedings and talks are currently on hold.

Please Note: The Oceanarium is currently closed until February 2024 while the zone undergoes an exciting renovation. While the Oceanarium undergoes upgrades, some of the incredible creatures – including the larger sharks and rays – will not be visible to guests. Rest assured, there will still be thousands of wonderful marine and freshwater creatures for guests to discover during their visit to SEA LIFE Melbourne throughout 2023.

A good day out for visitors. Penguins were a highlight. Lots of school kids so don’t book at school holidays.

Animal exhibits lights at the last section of premises switched off at 450pm to chase customers out when closing time is at 500pm, how unprofessional.

Price is a little bit too steep for a 2.5 hour attraction.

I got a buy one get one free ticket so figured I would use it. Haven’t been to the aquarium for 10+ years and I would honestly never go again. The place was disgustingly dirty and very warm. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve picked up some form of illness from being in there. It’s a Covid breeding ground. It wasn’t very busy which was a plus. Navigation was hard , signs are confusing. Bit sad to see a massive crocodile in an enclosure too small for him. Save your money or if you really want to go find a deal because it’s not worth full price.

The aquarium was very clean and well maintained, however is it’s pretty small and a bit confusing to move around. But overall the experience was still amazing and we got to see all the different sea life!

Fun day out. Exploring all this aquarium has to offer. A few things you don't see at other aquariums. Good for a wet day as everything is inside. Always busy with kids.

We went to the sea life aquarium in the afternoon and booked a slot online once we were inside it was pretty busy. You had to stand around and wait to see certain parts and some people pushed in front. The happy feet 4D cinema was a nice included activity but the actual penguin enclosure was quite disappointing. There was no outside space for them and it was just a glass cage with a bit of snow and a pond section. The tickets cost us $46 each which we thought was a lot of money.

I totally forgot to write this review as things got hectic once we got home. But I just wanted to make sure I wrote about how fantastic Thomas was!

Our walk through the aquarium started as he was finishing up his starfish talk, and we happened to go at the same pace where we happened upon every talk after that.

He was so excited to answer any questions and by the end of us happenstancing at every one he sought me out to ask if I had anything I was wondering about before he carried on his daily duties.

10 out of 10 enthusiastic employee and certainly deserves a pizza day!!! Thanks for making our day even better!

The new part is big, with turtles, sting rays, sharks; This and the penguins area are the stars of the show.
You can buy a show bag online for $50 down from $72, good value, considering the prices at the gift shop.
Also, tickets online are cheaper.

We last visited about 8 years ago when our children ( now 14 and 15) were much smaller. But still a great day out. Luckily they love hamming it up, but we are all super fans of jellyfish and stingrays so had a great time. Personally, I could sit in that cafe and watch the tank there for hours...

Very underwhelming for the price - $170 for a family of four.

Save your money and wait until you visit cairns or somewhere else that is more affordable - this place is a rip off
